Job Description
Job Purpose:
To provide effective leadership of the Teledyne Marine Aberdeen engineering team and development projects. Coordinating and taking the lead for projects and non-project team activities as well as other management tasks as allocated to you.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide supervision to engineers to include day to day workload and planning.
• Research and evaluate new technologies.
• Assist R&D Director as well as Product owners with strategic direction for new products & technologies.
• Project manage development projects
• Product architecture and systems-level design and integration.
• Support project teams to solve problems and implement solutions.
• Identify areas for improvement in existing designs and implement effective enhancements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to Engineering Service, Operations, Sales, and Business Development functions.
• Provide technical input to non-standard proposals, and funded development projects.
• Manage and provide guidance on issues relating to Intellectual Property.
• Provide line management, training and mentoring to technical staff.
• Ensure that new products are compliant to the relevent industry standards.
• Product import/export classification.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members
Qualifications, Experience:
• Degree in engineering related subject.
• Previous experience of working in a development department.
• Project and technical management experience and possible line management experience
