Position Summary:

With assistance from more senior engineers, design and develop new products, from 3D modeling to drawing creation and production implementation, based on customer feedback and sales requirements. 

Position Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new products, from 3D modeling to drawing creation and production implementation assisted by more senior engineers
• Prepare design presentations
• Carry out design for manufacturability of parts and components
• Carry out design changes and modifications to existing parts and products as required
• Apply sound engineering knowledge with aesthetics to design products which look as good as they function
• Partner with the development team to meet project timing and cost targets

In this role, you will define and deliver the HR digital strategy, supporting a model that drives Dow's Employee Experience. What You’ll Do

The Jr. Engineer – will be responsible for assisting with strategic initiatives for the enterprise, assisting the Service Desk and Desktop Engineering teams, and provide technical assistance to our internal customers. About you and this role

As an IT Solution Manager, you will own a portfolio of solutions and systems (applications) and manage its lifecycle (including analysis, design, implementation/adoption, optimization, and end-of-life retirement of digital solutions), to deliver advanced functional and business capabilities. You will work hand-in-hand with a multi-disciplinary IT expert team (analysts, designers, developers, etc.) to deliver innovative digital solutions. In this role, you will orchestrate functional and technical requirements analysis, with an emphasis on experience, simplification, automation, efficiency, and reliability. You will be responsible for the oversight of the development, optimization, implementation, and adoption of solutions leveraging best-in-class mobile, web, desktop, and cloud technologies. You will identify opportunities for innovating with digital capabilities aiming to accelerate Dow’s digital transformation.

In this role, you will own the cross-functional discussion surrounding the Finance order to cash area, which includes indirect tax, tax reporting, create invoice, rebate agreement, account receivable and intercompany operation.

Responsibilities

• Explores, analyzes, and maps business and function requirements
• Maps user journeys, user experience, and user stories (user features) to facilitate employee experience (EX)/customer experience (CX) transformation
• Owns and drives the full solution lifecycle, including functional technical design – solution architecture, buy vs make decisions – and integration of third-party off-the-shelf software
• Develops, integrates, tests, and builds solutions with the ability to operate in both waterfall and agile environment, and ensures compliance to corporate standards, architecture guidelines, and information security policies
• Supports implementation and user adoption
• Selects and defines supplier and team support models
• Defines controls, measures, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for solution performance and reliability
• Coordinates with other managers for end-to-end process optimization and integration
• Defines a solution(s) portfolio improvement and innovation roadmap with proper sequencing and prioritization of projects, and helps assess resource, technology, and investment needed in delivering against the roadmap
• Supports and fosters a community of solution experts and acts as a thought leader in their domain
• Assists with workload analysis for teams to ensure proper resource alignment for capacity planning
• Assists with financial management by managing solution lifecycle costs
• Works with stakeholders to understand and enable merger, acquisition & divestiture (MA&D) activities, as needed

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, 8 years relevant experience, or relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 rank or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher 
• A minimum of 5 years of SAP-SD experience
• For U.S. Applicants: A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

Preferred Skills

• A degree in IT or related technical discipline
• Cross functional modules experience as integration point with SAP Material Management and SAP Finance

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for planning and managing programs to meet product delivery, quality, and cost goals on specific consulting engagements by playing a leading role in driving welding-related projects forward. Determine needs and plan for the necessary equipment, personnel, and other assets to be in place, define what welding needs to be completed for the project, and prepare the required documents and procedures. Perform technical customer-facing duties, including meeting with clients to better understand their requirements or walking through a complete project with a client for their final assessment. Act as project team leader, including reviewing user or technical requirements, identifying tasks, assigning and coordinating resources, and creating or tracking project schedules. Apply expertise in welding processes to create project documentation and supervise the work of others. Maintain rigorous adherence to safety standards across the whole team, including inspecting the welding work of others and quickly determining if work has been completed safely and to the necessary standards.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with welding

• Knowledge of welding processes and industrial applications, including shielded metal arc welding, submerged arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, and gas metal arc welding

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

• Knowledge of destructive testing and Welding calibration methods

• Knowledge of common defense work plant manufacturing

• Master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering

• AWS Certified Welding Engineer Certification

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector Certification
