- Keep up to date documentation related to maintenance activity

- Train operators on the safe operation of production equipment as required

- Perform a start of shift safety sign-off to ensure that all safety features on assigned equipment are operational.

Contractor’s Responsible Engineer – Construction

The CRE Construction will play a pivotal role in the successful development and implementation of a portfolio of works on our CAM Projects including reacting to emergency works such as landslips and structural stabilisation. During the development stages you will work design consultancies to ensure the design can be built efficiently and safely. During the implementation phases you will oversee the engineering, ensuring the works are built right first time. Your time will be split between the office and site. What you will be doing

- Regular liaison with designer’s to ensure designs are efficient and safe to build
- Regular contact with the client to progressively assure designs, including participation in IDC/IDRs
- Review submissions for quality, sufficiency and adherence to relevant standards.
- Approval of detailed construction methodologies produced by the project teams e.g. WPP / TBS / RA’s
- Approval of inspection and test plans produced by the project teams
- Assist team members CEM / QS / PM as required with engineering input
- Attend site as required to liaise with Site Managers and Engineers
- Act as the temporary works coordinator
- Excellent interpersonal skills and assertive when required to ensure timeous delivery
- Ensure Quality benchmarks are maintained at a high standard

Who we are looking for

- BEng or MEng
- Civil Engineer with membership of professional institute (ICE/IStructE)
- Strong experience working on rail projects.
- Sound technical knowledge relating to structures, geotechnics and construction
- In depth knowledge of NR/L2/RSE/02009 and NR/L2/CIV/003
- Previous CRE Construction approved or experience at similar level in another sector
- Experience managing design development
- Temporary Works Coordinator qualification & experience, with detailed knowledge of BS5975:2019
- Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other design based software such as AutoCad
- AP or OTP Single Lift Planner would also be desirable qualifications but not essential.

About the Job

As part of the facilities management team, you will deliver an effective and quality maintenance service across a Distribution Centre Campus; through completing all planned and reactive FM related tasks in a compliant manner.

You will ensure that the site is statutorily compliant and accurate records are kept up to date, as well as maintaining a high standard of work by following safe working practices.

The role is multi-skilled, covering mechanical and electrical maintenance.

To be successful you will have:

Essential:

• Facilities maintenance experience
• Full Valid UK driver's license
• "On the job" experience working in a maintenance role
• Strong communication skills and work ethic
• Awareness and knowledge of health & safety
• A recognised apprenticeship or qualification (such as City and Guilds, BTEC, NVQ), or significant proven demonstrable experience in mechanical and electrical services.
• Technical knowledge and experience of maintenance and repair of a complex working environment including electrical and mechanical equipment whilst complying with all Safety and Environmental standards

Desirable:

• Distribution centre maintenance experience

Other Information:

• You'll be working 40 hours per week, generally Monday to Friday (shifts 6am -2.30pm and 9.30am to 6pm) although some weekend work will be required on an ad-hoc basis to meet the needs of the business
• There is a requirement to work 1 in 3 weeks on call (maximum)
• There is a degree of flexibility required, as determined by business requirements which involves travelling to other Depots to provide on call support, cover for absence or where work requirements are dictated. Any time travelled to the campus / sister site will be within working hours
• The nature of the job requires you to work at heights, climb ladders, and cover the whole site

The client is a market-leading manufacturer of specialist equipment to a range of industry sectors including heavy engineering and aerospace.

The role will involve the design and engineering of control and safety management systems required as part of the client’s products

The main responsibilities will include the following:-

Electrical design and development of a range of projects, starting from the initial design, working to customer specifications', preparing designs for manufacture and seeing the product through to completion.
Design and develop new products as required to meet customers specification and to see them through to completion
Specification, component selection, design calculations as appropriate to requirements
Design and develop enhancements to the existing product range.
Support technical sales and manufacturing and test departments where required
The production of technical documentation as required, including drawings and bills of materials etc
Ensure products meet mandatory legislation and customer specific legislation.
Applicants must be experienced Electrical Design Engineers with a proven track record in any if not all of the following: -

Electrical design
Production of electric schematic diagrams
Electrical control design
Design experience of electrical control systems / control panels and wiring schematics
Knowledge of electrical design
Applications will be considered from a range of experience, from newly qualified to more experienced senior level although all candidates must be qualified to a minimum of HNC level although a degree qualification is preferred.

The possibility of hybrid working is also available

I am looking for someone who is excited about delivering 1st class service in the Infrastructure arena. You will be technical lead across support and projects and will mentor and up skill juniors. You will be the Infrastructure Managers technical "go to". You will be part of a small dedicated team responsible for the day to day running and operation of services including and not limited to Active Directory, Entra AD, DNS, Remote Access (AOVPN and RSA), Citrix, AD Manager Plus, Enterprise SQL Servers, MoveIT Automation and FTP, Backup, Monitoring. Responsible for IT infrastructure-related problem diagnosis, implementing problem resolution or prevention measures as appropriate. This is to include audit, monitoring, capacity management, planning, security, patching etc,

You will be considered as a subject matter expert on have working knowledge of core technologies including Cloud (Azure), Microsoft Server/Workstation, Storage/Backup (IBM/Cohesity), Management Services (SCOM, SCCM), Virtual (Azure Stack HCI, VMware), Databases (SQL), Microsoft 365 (Teams, Email, In-Tune, One-Drive, SharePoint). Microsoft 365 is essential and you will be expected to have the relevant Microsoft accreditation's such as MCPs and MCSA. This is a hybrid role expected to be in the office 2 days a week and offers a package of just under £60k. Any experience in the Retail sector would advantageous.
