Electrical and Mechanical Field Service Engineer required for an expanding specialist engineering company based in Dudley.
The key duties will be travelling to client’s sites throughout the UK, to deal with the installation & commissioning of new machines and production lines, along with the associated carrying out of servicing and repairs. Full product training will be given. (Some overseas travel may also be required, on very rare occasions).
Key requirements/experience for the Electrical and Mechanical Field Service Engineer role:
• Mechanical and Electrical knowledge and experience
• Knowledge of hydraulic circuits
• Experience with panel wiring, fault finding, PLCs
• Ability to read electrical, engineering & hydraulic drawings
• Ability to use measuring equipment accurately & basic hand tools, i.e. drilling & tapping
• H&S training, including ability to produce risk assessments & method statements, working to company H&S/quality policies
• Ability to work under instruction within a team & to work on own initiative to meet required deadlines
• High quality of workmanship
• Forklift Operator’s Certificate/IPAF would be an advantage, although training can be given

Contracted working week 37 hours, working Monday to Friday. There will only be very occasional weekend working requirements
