A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a UK known food manufacturer in the Stourbridge Area!
With no day ever being the same the Mechanical Design Engineer role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class organisation.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide first-class design of machinery and tooling
- Required to perform all aspects of machinery design, including but not limited to conceptual sales support and sales proposal drawings, BOM's, Assembly drawings and interaction with PLM document management system
- You will be required to design and project manage, to deliver robust machinery designs per specification, on-time and in-budget.
- You will be required to liaise with colleagues and group companies, customers and suppliers
- Assist with and manage installations, start-ups and commissioning of equipment
- Liaise with engineering, sales and other group companies as required on both new and existing projects and potential leads.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Autodesk Inventor Professional and AutoCAD Mechanical design software experience
- Experience with rollforming and/or coil processing machinery
- Have at least three (3) years' experience in machinery design.
- Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, roll tool and tool/die design would be beneficial.
