Job objectives and responsibilities

· To undertake the maintenance and repair of the Electrical and Mechanical service, including fabric tasks of buildings as required under contract and in line with skills set.

· To carry out reactive tasks within SLA's

· Take ownership of the buildings and sub contractors

· Maybe required to be part of the on call rota

· This role will cover contracts predominately across the central belt but may occasionally cover other areas in Scotland

· Please note that successful completion of Mitie vetting requirement is a pre-requisite for this role.



Main duties

· Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports

· Carry out Reactive and emergency tasks and complete the associated paperwork.

· Use handheld technology within the allocated timescales

· Assist other team members when required or as directed from Contract Manager

· Ensure that all tasks are completed within the contractual time scales.

· Supervision of visiting sub-contractors with regards to standard of work and Health and Safety, issue of appropriate Permits, controlling small works.

· Adopt a flexible attitude in relation to assisting on other properties within the portfolio.

· All duties carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.

· To understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time

· To forge and maintain excellent customer relations with on site clients at all times

· To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner

· To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures

· To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required

· To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required





Person Specification

· Qualified to City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in relevant disciplines to role

· Experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment

- Including, boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables,

- Batteries, small power and lighting (where applicable)

· Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.

· Strong customer care focus.

· Good communication skills.

· Proactive

· Able to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults

· Capable of completing essential paperwork in accurate and timely manner.

Location: This is a field based, mobile position covering the Edinburgh and North-East Scotland region.

This role is working for high street retailers & banks clients for the TS-Mobile division. The salary is based between £26,352-£45,000. The salary on offer that is made will be dependant upon the candidate`s qualifications and experience. As part of our growing Engineering family, we are looking for an experienced Electrician to join us as a Mobile Electrical Engineer.

This is a role that is diverse and interesting, as no two days are the same. You will be upgrading, installing systems and carrying out maintenance works, inspections and fault finding.

You will keep the clients updated with any developments, recording all activities, remedial works, inspection logs etc and ensure a high level of customer service and will need good verbal and written communication and comfortable working with IT to record your tasks and updates.

You will be Level 2 and 3 City and Guilds 2330 or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (AND/OR?) 17th or 18th edition.

The ideal candidate would have a background in facilities management, mobile maintenance or construction with project work within a region.

Maintenance Engineer - Hereford

£42,500 Rising to £47,000

Our client is a leading manufacturer that is dedicated to producing products that's quality is recognised as second to none. With a strong order book & growth into various export markets they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team.

Role & Responsibilities:

Planned Maintenance inspections, review parts used
Recommend improvements in line with projects and maintenance schedules, carry out safety checks on range of equipment
Monitor plant conditions, report defects, repair of machinery
Generate and maintain compliance to SOP's, risk assessments
Report on plant performance using systems, ensure action on non-conformance issues
Working on a range of valves & Pumps
Supporting production & continuous improvement projects

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Formal Engineering Qualification - C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained
Continuous improvement knowledge
Strong knowledge of good engineering standards
Experience in food, packaging, drink, manufacturing environments


Benefits Package:

£42,500 Rising to £47,000
Hours:- 4 on 4 off days and nights
