Role & Responsibilities:

• Looking for a mechanically biased maintenance engineer
• Carry out reactive maintenance & repairs of all production machinery, industrial processing equipment, elevators, hoists, roller, extruders
• Working on quite heavy industrial machinery & equipment
• Dealing with hydraulics, pneumatics, compressors, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, rollers, belts, drives
• Follow PPM schedules, continuous improvement projects
• Repair and maintenance of building fabric & site services when needed
• Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding, machining
• Be part of the team call out rota, covering call outs on site and over the phone assistance

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Must be an experienced mechanically biased maintenance engineer
• Apprenticeship trained
• Qualified - NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 higher in mechanical engineering
• Must have worked in some form of manufacturing environment
• Flexible person - open to working on a call-out-system - paid at premium rates
• General mechanical fitting, fabrication and welding skills
• Team player and positive character
• Worked on hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drives

- Two years experience working in a role as a heating engineer, a combustion engineer or equivalent
- Must be familiar with and able to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
- Must be familiar with and able to work to Gas safe (installation and use) regulations 1998 and associated industry Standards
- Experience of working with commercial catering gas appliances would be beneficia
- Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
- CCN1 - Core domestic gas safety and relevant domestic appliance units

Applications Engineer - ACTIVITIES

This will include system flow and pipe work pressure drop & combustion calculations to ensure the accurate application of the Company's range of industrial process equipment.
Other important tasks will include the completion of project engineering checks and the preparation of commissioning specifications, along with providing pre and post sales applications support to the Company's External Sales and Internal Engineering functions.
In addition to the above mentioned tasks, and depending on the workload in Contracts Department, there will be a requirement from time to time to carry out the role of Contracts Engineer to balance the demands within the departments and to maintain familiarity with the procedures and requirements of the Contracts Department.

Applications Engineer - THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of HNC or equivalent in Chemical, Mechanical or a Process Engineering discipline with experience in a compatible industry or a manufacturer of related equipment. Candidates qualified to Graduate/HNC level with less experience but with clear potential will also be considered.

This is a demanding and rewarding position which will allow the successful candidate to develop within a large industrial group. Remuneration will be discussed at the point of offer and will be commensurate with the level of qualification and experience, plus paid overtime when required. * Projects typically range in value between £30k - £2m and may involve equipment supply only, supply and installation, special skid-built equipment and turnkey projects. In most cases, the company's own Service Division will be utilised to carry out the commissioning of each project.

Reporting to the Contracts / Process Engineering Divisional Manager your key responsibilities are as follows:-

Project Engineer - Key responsibilities
* Take overall responsibility for the supervision and administration of the day-to-day activities and coordination of multiple contracts from point of order to final commissioning and handover
* Supervise and co-ordinate planning, design, procurement, build, subcontractors, installation works, despatch to site and commissioning.
* Ensure accurate data is assembled and recorded to enable the procurement and manufacture of equipment to fulfil contractual requirements.
* Control and manage the contractual and commercial requirements of the project.
* Maintain clear liaison between customers, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure contract requirements are met with regards to quality, time and budget.
* Ensure contract financial requirements are adhered to within the time scales specified.

Project Engineer - Experience
Experience is sought within the plant and process engineering field.
Ideal experience would be from within the mechanical contracting services or process engineering with specific reference to steam or high temperature process heating applications.
Additionally:
* Proficiency with MS Office suite of applications.
* NetSuite and Salesforce experience. (Ideal but not essential)
* A track record in working on technology orientated, multi-disciplinary projects.
* Excellent organisational and multi-tasking ability.

Project Engineer - Qualifications
HNC/Degree or equivalent in mechanical or chemical engineering or a process engineering discipline with experience in a compatible industry or a manufacturer of related equipment.

Project Engineer - Communications Skills
The ability to work within a team environment and to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels within the Company structure and with our customers and suppliers.

As an IT Support Engineer - 1st & 2nd Line Support, you will be required to deliver day to day IT Business as Usual (BAU) Support Services, also, act as the technical conduit to Senior Support Technicians in improving IT Support Services.

The role of the IT Support Engineer is to provide all 1st & 2nd Line Support for all staff and students. You will be responsible for logging and resolving complex support requests with computer hardware, software, and network systems, as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands.

Key Technical Skills & Responsibilities:

• Script and deploy patches to Windows, Mac and Android devices to ensure compliance targets are met.


• Present change requests to Technical Change Board as required.


• Ensure all service requests are assigned and updated in a timely manner.


• Log first line support calls using the ITSM Service Desk system by taking part in the Service Desk rota.


• Ensure all hardware assets are logged and updated in the Service Desk ITSM tool.


• Look for opportunities to automate processes with the aim of driving down repeated incidents or time spent on routine tasks using SCCM, PowerShell and other appropriate tools


• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and across core business applications.


• Assist all users with any logged IT related incident when called upon working to resolve service requests within agreed SLA.


• Analyse and identify repeated incidents and raise as a Problem record, then work to resolve the Problem.


• Accurately record, update and document service requests, problems and change requests using the ITSM system.


• Ensure Service Requests follow the correct ITIL lifecycle, including to Incidents and Change Requests


• Ensure the Starter, Mover Leaver process always runs smoothly for technology requests, including hardware, software and Active Directory permissions to ensure a first-class end user experience.


• Act as project lead when required, ensuring skills matrix is updated and colleagues are trained to the required level.


• Support college activity including Exams and maintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.


• Challenge the accepted way of working and encourage colleagues to think differently and innovatively.


• Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organisation
