Role: As a Mechanical Compliance Engineer you will be responsible to ensure compliance with company maintenance, reliability and safety procedures, policies and guidelines to increase equipment efficiencies, minimize equipment downtime, and reduce maintenance cost and adherence with safety regulations.
Job description:
1. Plan, schedule and organize the preventive maintenance of mechanical and process plant equipment including cooling tower, compressors, conveyors, plastic shredders, extruders, and palletizer to increase the equipment efficiencies and minimize equipment downtime and reduce maintenance cost.
2. Design and implement maintenance procedures, strategies and methods according to the engineering principles and safety regulations to conduct cost effective maintenance of plant and equipment.
3. Plan and organize installation and commissioning of newly acquired equipment to ensure compliance as per the manufacturer’s recommendation and safety standards.
4. Oversee logistic operations to ensure compliance with company vehicle maintenance procedure and chain of responsibility guidelines.
5. Design and implement maintenance procedures, strategies and methods according to the engineering principles and safety regulations to conduct cost effective maintenance of plant and equipment.
6. Establish and implement HSE policies, guidelines and procedures as per the relevant industry standards, code of practice and safety regulations
7. Responsible for reliability and maintenance of company assets and equipment including forklifts, balers, scales, vehicles, pallet racking, air conditioners etc.
8. Establish and implement HSE policies, guidelines and procedures as per the relevant industry standards, code of practice and safety regulations.
9. Develop and conduct trainings on maintenance and HSE policies, procedures and guidelines.
10. Conduct equipment and plant inspection to ensure optimum performance and compliance with maintenance procedures and policies.
11. Use risk management process to identify the hazards, assess the risk and develop suitable control measures.
12. Conduct plant and equipment inspection to ensure they meet safety standards free of any hazard.
13. Plan and conduct maintenance audits to check compliance with company maintenance procedures and guidelines.
14. Plan and conduct internal health, safety environment and quality audits to ensure compliance with relevant standards e.g. ISO 9001, 45001, 14001 and company HSE policies, procedures and guidelines.
15. Oversee external Audits and ensure all necessary documentation is readily available to auditors and other relevant stakeholders.
Salary: $70000-$80000 yearly +11.5% superannuation
Qualification and experience: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering(required).1-3 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, asset management and safety. Good knowledge of mechanical and process plant equipment e.g. cooling towers, gear reducers, belts, couplings, flanges etc.
Additional Certifications/Licenses: Certification in safety or Lead Auditor certifications e.g. ISO 9001 2015 and ISO 45001 2018(highly preferred).
Skills: Proficient in Microsoft applications e.g. word, excel, outlook etc. Good interpersonal and management skills.
