The main purpose of the role will be to carry out planned and reactive drainage tasks safely and to a high standard.

Duties & responsibilities:

• Effectively diagnose and identify faults and failures with equipment and systems and provide effective solutions and escalate where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements and adhere to best working practices at all times, following processes laid down by the Health and Safety policy.
• Sponsor and complete drainage surveys and technical reports as necessary and to cascade all key data to relevant personnel throughout field operations.

Job Summary:

Teledyne FLIR is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work in the Surveillance Systems Division.  This position will work with a diversified team across multiple locations on high performance airborne gimballed systems.  The position will require technical leadership from conceptual design to testing and production implementation.

Job Summary:

Responsible for systems engineering efforts including EO/MWIR/LWIR Imaging Sensor and gimbal, land, handheld Systems characterization, analysis, and test. and support of technical projects which promote the advancement of the Surveillance product lines.  Develops and applies system engineering test methodologies and procedures to conduct EO/IR sensor subsystem imaging characterization, design verification testing (DVT), First Article test (FAT), and Factory Acceptance Testing (AT) of imaging sensors; Participates in defining subsystems and systems requirements, modeling, design analysis and trades, test, and product verification.  Conducts analysis, investigations and testing of considerable complexity both in product development and production issues.  Perform systems work on multidiscipline projects of considerable complexity and contribute technically to the project’s success with experience in EO/MWIR/LWIR imaging sensors and optical systems engineering. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and contribute to all aspects of systems engineering efforts for the development of EO/IR imaging sensor products in the areas of concept definition, requirements development, radiometric systems design and analysis, performance modeling and analysis, prototype testing, troubleshooting and performance verification.

• Develop flow down specifications for systems and subsystems.

• Perform modeling analyses such as target acquisition range performance and optical performance calculations.

As Allegro Microsystems Packaging Engineer- Global New Product Introduction you will develop strategies and workflows to enhance and directly support corporate Project Management of I.C Package Engineering Projects during NPI phase.

Create and drive NPI Packaging Projects from (design start) through to (production safe launch) as per agreed timescales.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Generate project timelines / plans for Packaging NPI Projects as required in Smartsheets.

• Efficient project management execution within given timescales:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, test, Business units and quality assurance/reliability to optimize packaging solutions efficient, sustainable, cost-effective, and meet project timelines.

• Close and frequent communication within stakeholders to ensure tasks / deliverables are tracked and updated & Technical Lessons learned are shared for adoption elsewhere as required.

• Open communication and good teamworking within I.C Package Eng. and other Allegro departments.

• Deliver designs, tooling, engineering Samples, Qual Lots to Business units / QA and Customer expectations.

• Manage f key customers with status updates and manage their expectations

• Lead in resolving project issues, providing regular updates to the core team as well as executive summaries for senior management.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering fields.

• 3+ years of experience in packaging design, manufacturing, and development.

• Proven knowledge/ experience of packaging technology, materials, and design principles with focus on designing and implementing packaging solutions.

• Familiarity with semiconductor production equipment and manufacturing processes and understanding of sustainability and environmental issues related to packaging
