An opportunity has arisen for an Commissioning Engineer to join the team for my client who is a Tier 1 Contractor delivering vital upgrade and improvement works to a major water treatment project in the Bournemouth area.

I am engaged on a project to recruit a Mid-level or Senior Java Engineer to join an innovative R&D organisation in the heart of Poole. You'll be working on projects that have a material impact on peoples lives with the support of a very experienced team behind you.

This role is offered with 4 days remote, they work every Wednesday in the office in Poole.

Your new role
You'll be working to build tools to revolutionise and disrupt a 100 year old industry, they are involved in projects that touch smart technology, AI and Internet of Things, so it's a great modern environment to be joining. The Dev team needs to operate with the mentality of a start-up as they look to stay ahead of the ever-changing tech landscape.

The roles are full stack, building clean Angular UI modules and new scalable Java/Spring components, helping to break down legacy monoliths which have supported them up to this stage of
modernisation. With that comes the opportunity to truly work with the latest technologies and to push tools that interest you. Joining as a Senior (or moving towards this level), you will be encourgaed to get involved at the design phase of projects and also to contribute at an architectural level - you won't just follow a rigid brief and be a cog in a wheel here.

Previously part of an internationally renowned business the company has the highest dev standards but now operates independently. If you're looking for the stability of a household name, without the bureaucracy associated with a corporate, then I am sure this will be of interest.

What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for strong Java/Spring Engineer, ideally with Microservices experience and with Angular UI on the Front End. They use MySQL but other relational databases will be okay.

It's an AWS environment, and they are big on Agile and collaboration, so these skills and an open communicative nature will be important.

You should be comfortable using Git, Jira and Confluence (or similar).

Looking forward they will be embracing Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes and other modern Dev tooling - so any of these will serve you well.

Due to continued success in the region and the winning of new contracts, my client are looking to add to their impressive team with the addition of a Design Engineer.

We are looking for an Electronics Design Engineer who has a minimum of 2 years' experience. You will be working on a range of exciting projects, serving sectors such as Aerospace, Energy, Education and Marine.

If you're a passionate Electronics Engineer wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in an established company, this could be the role for you.

THE ROLE:

Create and maintain detailed design documentation.

Designing PCB layouts.

Designing and developing electronic circuits, including both analogue and digital.

Fault finding on PCBs.

Work closely with both mechanical engineers and software engineers.

THE PERSON:

Great problem solving skills.

2 years' experience in a similar role as an electrical/electronics engineer.

Fault finding skills - electrical focus.

Competent in PCB design.

Familiar with programming software's such as C++ as there will also be an element of this in the role.

Degree educated in either Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
