Your new role

Working within our Abnormal Loads team in Darlington, you’ll provide helpdesk support to National Highways stakeholders in the operation and use of the ESDAL system. You’ll assist in supporting data maintenance and upgrade tasks for data held within the ESDAL system. You’ll also provide an interface between user groups and the ESDAL technical team.

We have a new opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our client based in Billingham on a 2-year contract with an attractive salary and benefits package on offer.

Responsibilities:
• Production of the project definition and strategy documentation
• Ensure that project and design reviews are carried out appropriately
• Generation of project estimates
• Driving project progress through to issue of AFC packages
• Monitoring project costs and controlling order values
• Assist in preparation of enquiry documents
• Ensure that all appropriate safety and risk reviews are completed pre-sanction
• Ensure that statutory approvals and planning permissions are in place

Requirements:
• Driving licence
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Mechanical qualification or equivalent experience
