- You will act as the central clearing house for all data calls and will act as the Port Engineers agent at all required RMC off-ship meetings and will ensure the port engineers spend as much time on their assigned ships.
- You will monitor and assess Port Engineer (PE) and Combat Systems Port Engineers (CSPE) performance and deliverables as required to support assigned ship.
- You will provide a local focal point for all issues related to the Port Engineer program and Port Engineer performance.
- You will provide timekeeping, leave, Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) approval, and financial oversight of local Port Engineer TAD and annual appraisals.
- You will monitor and certify Port Engineer progress and performance in completing the Port Engineer Training and Certification program.
- You will ensure continued viability of the Port Engineer Program.
- You will provide regular reports on status of assigned ships maintenance to the Type commander.
