Head of Liquidity & Investment Product Solutions, EMEA
The Custody, Liquidity and Depositary Services Product organisation is recruiting for an EMEA head of Liquidity & Cash Product Management to implement product management disciplines for the business including P&L, price and rate management. State Street’s product organisation is undergoing an exciting period of transformation for the business and requires experienced leaders in product management to develop the business.
Function
As head of Liquidity & Investment Product Management you will establish detailed techniques for managing NII & Deposit targets, pricing strategy for on balance sheet products, P&L and Deposit forecasting to target, risk management techniques for assessing interest rate sensitivities and managing the liquidity risk framework for the Investment Services business. State Street provides liquidity services to the world’s leading institutional investors with over $200bn in deposits. You will work closely with colleagues across the firm including CCO, CIO, CPO, Treasury and Finance teams. You will lead a geographically diverse team of product managers, subject matter experts and analysts. The role reports to the global Head of Liquidity and Investment Product Management.
Responsibilities
The Liquidity & Cash Management Product head will have responsibility for the following
Attaining deposit and NII targets for the Investment Services business
Setting annual budgets at a portfolio, regional and client level working with closely with Treasury and Coverage
Work with Treasury on implications of funds transfer policy for the investment services business
Tracking interest rate conditions to set pricing and generate analytics to provide insights on beta, payouts and client sensitivities to those rate conditions
Set product definition for all on balance sheet products
Work with the CIO and Global Markets to determine on balance sheet currency strategy to maximise returns to the firm
Manage the control framework for on balance sheet products providing transparency and insights on rate setting and accuracy
Design a strategy for the management of intraday risk working closely with the Credit Risk Organisation and Operations
Work with the Liquidity Solutions team prepare client materials and facilitate the profitable growth of the deposit book
Understand commercial risks of the business and partner with second and third line of defence covering, credit, legal, audit, compliance and business control.
Provide competitive position for the product, benchmarking capabilities
Partner with Product Development to set the roadmap for the product and provide senior sponsorship to change initiatives including the development of new liquidity products
Skills/Job Requirements
Seasoned MD with 10+ years experience in Securities Services, Treasury or Markets trading
Proven leader, team player, strong communicator, consultative approach.
Track record in business ownership and transformation
Deep subject matter expertise of managing or using liquidity products and preferably knowledge of the broader transaction banking and custody family of products;
Understanding of global markets and the management of country, credit and liquidity risk
Proven change agent with track record of delivery
Strong analytical skills with track record of building out liquidity tools to provide insights on opportunities to enhance the business
Proven ability to detect emerging trends, and encourage and make recommendations for creative change
Ability to achieve results with the persistence and patience necessary to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external constituents
