What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Director, Digital Analytics and Integration you will be a key manager in the team responsible for creating, designing, communicating and maintaining the Data Structures and Models for all pertinent data sources and systems. The Senior Consultant, Cloud Engineering provides technical leadership, interpreting complex information and coordinating client, provider, and vendor relationships to meet and manage service expectations, aligned to best practices. In addition, the role participates in the development of the team to maximize individual contributions and professional growth, functioning effectively with colleagues.

How You’ll Succeed  

• Leadership & Communication: Provide technical leadership during the design, build, configuration, implementation and maintenance phases of major public and private Cloud technologies and automation tooling in a multi-platform environment. Lead the evaluation, selection and implementation of new and emerging products and techniques; support the development of business/technology proposals by estimating implementation costs and evaluating options. • Engineering: Provide automation expertise within core automation DevOps tool chain and orchestration expertise in Provisioning and Public Cloud.  Determine standards and roadmaps for hardware and software. Decide how infrastructure is built and recommends Cloud-based standards for organization wide initiatives based on area of expertise. Conduct major studies regarding system usage, make recommendations for improvements, and determine infrastructure system requirements. Design, develop and test emerging Cloud-based software solutions. Provide ongoing analysis and evaluation of test plan, all additions and changes to ensure they are introduced in a manner that protects the integrity of the environment and mitigates risks. Provide in-depth subject matter expertise to perform broad impact analysis, present alternative solutions, and make recommendations for complex initiatives and projects. Work with the Enterprise Architecture team on identifying requirements and design for continuous evolution of Cloud-based solutions. Manage clients, providers and vendor relationships to ensure service expectations are understood, managed and met. Support both production and non-production Cloud platform environments and hosted applications. Implement production and non-production changes to Cloud platforms and applications following established change management policies.

Who You Are  

• You can demonstrate experience in design, implementation and support of technologies and technology-based solutions on Cloud platforms.

• Minimum of 6 years of related experience is required. Understanding of Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies, terminologies and ceremonies is mandatory.

• Experience in ServiceNow and Microsoft Azure is required, while additional experience in Amazon Web Services is preferred. Proficiency with tools such as GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, and Continuous Integration (CI)/ Continuous Delivery (CD) systems is required. Strong technical knowledge and subject matter expertise in Microsoft's Azure, ARM Templating, Azure DevOps Pipeline implementation of “infrastructure as code” deliveries, Role Based Access Control (RBAC), and monitoring/hardening/policing/templating/delivery of Azure Services will be key to your success. Proficiency with Bicep, JSON and PowerShell scripting is a must.

• Experience with IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and network and security related solutions is required. Technical knowledge and subject matter expertise in Windows Server, Linux/Unix and Middleware tier is required. Experience with Azure Firewalls, ExpressRoute & IPSec Tunnels, Virtual WAN, WAF, Network Security Groups (NSG) and other network and security components of Azure will be valuable. Microsoft Azure certifications, as well as ITIL certifications would be considered as assets. Experience with other cloud technologies like AWS would be an asset. Experience with reporting, data analysis and BI tools would be nice to have.

What you'll be doing

What you’ll be doing

The Senior Director, Head of Fixed Income Market Risk has the mandate to lead the groups responsible for the ‘second line of defense’ governing the following areas of oversight: Global Fixed Income Trading Risk, Interest Rate Derivatives, Bond Trading, Money Markets, and Structured Rates Trading. Additionally, the Senior Director, Head of Fixed Income Market Risk also has the mandate to mentor the Capital Markets Risk Management (CMRM) Reporting and Analytics team, which covers portfolio based reporting and analytical insights for the broader Capital Markets trading businesses.

You will actively partner with Capital Markets trading desks, other CMRM Risk colleagues, core strategic business units (SBUs) and other infrastructure groups to produce key reports and metrics for senior leadership and regulators to measure and validate CIBC’s trading book risks – including regulatory measures such as VaR/ES, Stress Testing and Capital, as well as non-regulatory measures such as scenario analysis, global portfolio analysis and profit and loss (P&L) attribution. What you’ll be doing

As a Consultant, Governance and Control, you will join CIBC’s Enterprise Security and Risk Services area to support OSFI B-13 Sox and Non-Sox related control testing for all of CIBC’s applications and infrastructure. You'll be responsible for working to effectively assess risk related to client accounts, providing risk management investigation and corrective action services that support multi-segment line management as it pertains to regulatory requirements. The role applies advanced understanding of inherently high-risk process for all segments, utilizing strong problem solving skills to investigate, analyze, and provide informed recommendations on compliance issues, quality operational controls, risk assessment, and control activities.

How you’ll succeed

• Control Testing : On a quarterly basis, you will be assigned a number of technology controls with various infrastructure components and document the test results with appropriate evidence gathered to satisfy the control steps or otherwise. Once completed you will forward test results for review and communicate deficiencies to the Senior Manager, Governance and Control and the Senior Risk Advisor.

• Audit & Risk Assessment: You will participate in the preparation of the risk assessment package and engage with appropriate parties to gather artifacts required for the control tests. You will attend and actively participate in client meetings with Internal Audit and our external Audit firm (E&Y) as technology controls are presented.

Who you are

• You demonstrate a minimum of 3 years' experience in Technology Audit, Controls and Governance, identifying gaps, assessing controls and making recommendations for improvements with a working knowledge of requirements of CIBC’s Control Framework. Its an asset if you have experience within OSFI B13 regulations.

• You're a certified professional. You have current accreditation and good standing CISSP, CISA or CIA.

What you’ll be doing

As Director, Investor Relations & Performance Measurement, you will be accountable for providing value-add financial and strategic analysis to support IR and Performance Measurement activities. The role requires financial analysis and modelling skills and an understanding of capital markets. You will also require strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with other departments within Finance, all business units, Corporate Communications and Risk Management. As a Director, you are responsible for identifying and communicating the conclusions of your analysis and providing recommendations on next steps. You will also be given the opportunity to oversee and help develop junior members of the IR&PM team including interns, co-ops and/or CPA rotation students.

How you’ll succeed

• Quarterly Reporting Process - Support production of public disclosure, produce quarterly earnings presentation slides, provide financial analysis and research to support external messaging on key themes, and conduct quarterly financial benchmarking analysis vs. peers.

• Management Reporting and Analysis - Provide the Executive Committee and Board of Directors with monthly/quarterly summaries of CIBC’s financial results, as well as a detailed reporting of non-financial key performance indicators.

• Relationship Management - Support outreach to existing and potential investors, create and maintain quantitative shareholder targeting models, respond to external requests for information on CIBC’s financial performance, coordinate investor event logistics, prepare executive briefing memos, and analyze changes in CIBC’s investor base.  Review and synthesize equity research reports, create and review detailed financial models of CIBC and peers, consolidate and analyze external earnings estimates, and identify any misalignment between internal and external financial projections. Assist with managing the rating agency relationships,  including reviewing rating agency reports on CIBC for accuracy and inadvertent disclosure, coordinate annual executive meetings with rating agencies and assist with preparing materials, respond to ad hoc requests for information throughout the year and stay abreast of rating methodology developments that have implications for CIBC.

• Consulting – You provide oversight and advisory over new and ongoing financial/management reporting processes through understanding the end-to-end and continuously enhancing, automating and standardizing processes.

What You’ll Be Doing 

CIBC Capital Markets provides corporate, government, and institutional clients with innovative solutions to help them raise capital, and grow and invest actively throughout North America, Latin America, and key financial centres around the world. Our mission is to bring Canadian Capital Markets products to Canada and the rest of the world, and also bring the world to Canada.

The incumbent will join the Capital Markets Business Management Team, with a focus on supporting the Simplii business within Direct Financial Services Lines. As the Simplii Business Manager, you will act as a liaison between the businesses and the relevant stakeholders & infrastructure partners, to ensure all governance and controls functions are fulfilled. The incumbent will also be assist in business, regulatory and compliance initiatives as requested.

How You’ll Succeed 

• CIRA - Complete Change Initiative Risk Assessment (CIRA) for new initiatives, investigate, document, and report on incidents and errors (regulatory and operational). Document and complete Business Continuity Planning milestones.

• Reports - Coordinate and respond to auditor/regulator requests, findings and reports

• Regulatory Compliance - Coordinate, investigate and respond to Regulatory Compliance Incidents (RCIs) and liaise with Compliance Department and Business to complete scheduled updates to the Regulator. Complete and attest to CIBC governance functions - e.g. user system access, shared folders, contract review, records management, business-managed technology, etc. Lead and/or support management reporting as required. Working with Finance to support expense management and review

• Checks - Perform physical & logical security checks as well as clean desk checks

• Other Accountabilities - Assist business with updates to business policies & procedures, including process enhancements to support regulatory and enterprise compliance requirements. Assist business with CASL implementation and adherence. Assist Capital Markets Centralized Governance & Controls Team as required – e.g. deficiency management, risk & controls self assessments, privacy incidents, related party attestations, etc. Assist business with project (business and bank-wide) implementation, including new policy/procedures development and presentation materials. Tracking and reporting of key business and operational processes to support the business in executing strategic plans.

• Collaboration - Liaising on a regular basis with individuals in the business, Capital Market CAO team and infrastructure partners (e.g. Technology, Global Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Enterprise Business Continuity Management, Audit, Finance)

Who You Are

• You have minimum of an undergraduate degree in business or equivalent.

• You have industry experience. 3-5 years industry-related experience and understanding of the Direct Financial Services business lines, products and services (in particular Simplii Financial). General knowledge of the operational, regulatory, and reputation risks associated with Direct Financial Services businesses and a comprehension of the policies, standards, processes and controls that need to be in place to mitigate these risks.

• You have strong understanding and application of operational risks, controls and governance functions. High degree of computer literacy and familiarity with business tools, e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio.

• You are collaborative. Team player with good communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to be able to think cross-organizationally and build consensus.
