Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Ellesmere Port Campus
We are seeking a Purchase Ledger Officer to join our team at our Ellesmere Port Campus. This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative and enthusiastic finance professional to join the College as part of a collaborative and supportive team. You will have responsibility for the purchase ledger system, dealing with both internal and external customers to support the aims and objectives of the Finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
To ensure all invoices have appropriate purchase orders prior to payment;
To ensure suppliers are paid within the agreed terms;
Assist in monthly bank reconciliations;
Assist with processing purchase orders and recording invoices using the College finance system;
Undertake general finance and administration duties and responsibilities; and
To provide advice and guidance to ensure all College safeguarding obligations are adhered to at all times.
Key Person Specification Requirements:
GCSE Grade 4/5 in English and Maths;
An understanding of financial regulations;
Excellent level of digital literacy;
Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to develop positive working relationships at all levels;
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail;
Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment;
Up-to-date occupational experience; and
Enhanced DBS check
