R_252058 - Commercial Insurance Client Executive/Broker - Construction Practice
Opportunity for an experienced Account Executive to join a market leading specialty business servicing all aspects of the construction and infrastructure sector both in the UK and overseas.
Our client base includes market leading UK construction and engineering companies as well as property investors who are looking to expand or improve their portfolio of operational assets. This role will be handling the non-construction risks of these construction clients which could include PDBI, Motor, PA, Travel, Property and Liability.

- Join our Contractor’s team to provide a wide range of insurance advice to service the annual programme requirements of a portfolio of existing contractor clients.

- Exposure to complex annual and project specific insurance placements within the UK construction sector
- Industry focused insurance and technical training from the markets leading construction insurance professionals
- Account handling work as well as all broking, claims and placing instructions in a busy environment with an experienced and supportive team
- Work closely with major clients, developing an in-depth knowledge of their business and managing their insurance needs as well as developing good client relationships
- You will build on your existing insurance and industry knowledge and manage relationships with our broking and claims teams along with other support colleagues
- You will participate in our ongoing team training programme as a recipient and contributor as may be appropriate.

We will rely on you to:
Day to day service:
- Client meetings and presentations – primarily focused on PDBI/Motor/PA/Travel/UK EL but acting as a conduit to Marsh specialist teams for D&O, Crime, PTL & Cyber
- Provide technical insurance advice on a wide variety of challenges that face our clients daily.
- Dealing with day-to-day admin, endorsements, and client queries.
Place business:
- Collect and analyse risk information and claims data, produce underwriting submissions, review and update wordings
- Assist in planning broking strategy and broke in the UK to assess the responses from insurers and prepare renewal reports to clients, providing comparison of quotes and making recommendations.
- Issue documentation including agreed wordings, placing slips, endorsements, certificates, insurance manuals and minutes of meetings
Claims Service
- Monitor claims progress
- Integrate claims reports to monitor loss ratios
- Support our claims colleagues with on major / complex claims and provide advice on claims strategy and appropriate actions
- Prepare and attend claims review meetings
What you will need to have:
- Client solution / service focused with excellent communication skills
- Proven insurance handling/broking experience within large / corporate or mid market clients
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines & be able to work flexibly when required.
- Technical competence in classes of insurance PDBI / Motor / PA/Travel / UK EL- working knowledge of D&O, PTL, Crime & Cyber
