Job Description
To lead the finance and research admin team and manage the department’s finance-related matters for daily financial operations:
• Lead the finance and research admin activities in the general office. Provide guidance to the research admin staff.
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports related to budgets, incomes, expenses, etc.,) including providing detailed analysis based on trending, and advise department on budgeting, fund management, investments etc, to assist department management to make financial decisions and planning;
• Provide guidance to department staff on execution of new financial policies, implementation of new procedures, etc., to ensure adherence to financial regulations and legislation;
• In charge of department budgeting, cashflow forecasting and audit; including the collation of department financial data with rigorous analysis and present in department annual financial meeting,
• Oversee and review current workflow(s) and make recommendations to streamline/improve processes within the finance/ research admin functions.
• Manage department accounts and monitor fund usage. Maintain an accurate filing and record keeping system for all department financial documents;
• Process invoices and various payments, including staff/visitors travel and general reimbursements, journal transfer, gifts, etc;
• Collate PIs’ facility usage charges and maintain department research incentive accounts.

• Able to multitask and work on a wide range of job scope
• Independent and a self-starter yet a team player with an eye for details
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Have at least 5-year experience in finance processes
• Preferably a candidate who can start work immediately
