Blackstone is seeking a business development professional to drive the capital raising efforts across the third-party insurance LP channel. The responsibilities of this professional will include:
· Obtaining capital commitments and driving investor relations and business development objectives to ensure successful execution of strategies across all of Blackstone’s products.
· Establishing and maintaining both existing and new, prospective relationships.
· Understanding and articulating Blackstone’s products and fund strategies in great depth.
· Working closely with Blackstone’s Insurance team to effectively communicate to prospective clients the Firm’s insurance-specific offerings across alternative funds and SMA offerings.
· Applying knowledge of credit markets and institutional portfolios to help identify new product development opportunities and structuring needs.
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate should have:
· 8+ years’ experience calling on Intermediary and/or Institutional clients.
· Proven track record of raising assets, developing relationships and identifying new business opportunities, with a preference for insurance general accounts.
· Undergraduate degree is required. CFA designation and/or MBA preferred.
· Strong product and structuring knowledge, with an emphasis on private credit. Ability to effectively communicate and differentiate the Blackstone value proposition and the role it can play in portfolio construction and addressing insurers liability needs.
· Strong relationship management skills. Ability to identify client needs and position Blackstone as a solution.
· Willingness to travel to create deep client engagement.
· Strong work ethic, strong technical expertise, organization, entrepreneurial, and intellectual curiosity
· The ability to foster strong working relationships with portfolio managers and broader Blackstone sales teams.

Expected annual base salary range:
$135,000 - $200,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
