Job Summary: The Head of Finance plays a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of East Anglias Childrens Hospices (EACH) and subsidiary companies, ensuring financial responsibility and transparency. They provide financial guidance to support the achievement of organisational goals and uphold the highest standards of financial management. This is a senior role in the charity and is a member of the Operational Management Team. The role manages a team of five staff, some of whom are part-time, and reports to the EACH Director of Finance. The Head of Finance will deputise for the Director of Finance in their absence. Responsibilities Financial Reporting and Management Prepare the Annual Report and Accounts for the charity and its subsidiaries and prepare monthly management accounts and commentary by working day five each month. Lead the finance team to deliver a full set of transactional accounting and financial reporting services for the charity, schedule and plan activities to ensure services are delivered on a timely basis with effective resilience in place. Work with the Management Accountant to ensure the annual budget process and forecasts align with reporting and planning requirements. Operate treasury management processes to securely maximise investment returns on cash deposits to include regular cash flow reporting and analysis.
