What you'll be doing;



This is an exciting opportunity to be a highly visible member of the Finance team; you will liaise with senior budget holders in the business. A Key role, providing services directly to the Veolia Executive Committee. The role holder will be accountable or various aspects of the management accounting reporting processes that are undertaken at the Finance Shared Service Centre.

What will you be doing?

• You will be responsible for the collection of overdue payments in line with Veolia's Service Level Agreements via telephone and post within the target times set, taking into account Debtor Days, Aged Debt and Bad debts. Ensuring all customer contact records are accurate and kept up to date.
  
• You will respond to customer queries which arise from a number of channels. Logging these queries and forwarding to the relevant business unit for investigation and resolution. Follow up on resolved queries ensuring payment is received for previously disputed items.
  
• You will handle a wide range of communications with customers both internally and externally, maintaining good trading relationships. Notifying customers of changes to their accounts such as changes in credit limit or account suspension.
  
• In addition, you will need to be aware of credit risk on credit accounts and conduct credit limit reviews when applicable. At times it will be necessary to initiate legal processes when all other collection means have failed.
  
• At all times, you will need to ensure you comply with compliance rules and regulations regarding customer data and customer bank information.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience of working within a busy Credit Control team with specific experience in Services and the collection of monies, is essential to be successful in this role.
  
• You will have experience of dealing with a wide range of customers which includes; private sector corporations, 3rd party suppliers and public sector clients such as local authorities.
  
• A confident communicator you will be able to convey clear and concise messages across both written and verbal channels.
  
• Competent computer skills are required, with experience of Microsoft Office Suite and Google ideally. Experience of Workday would also be advantageous, but not essential.
  
• In terms of background, you will have experience within a large corporate environment or have come from a busy credit control team used to dealing with high volumes.

You will be working in their home, so it’s important you can connect, share interests and be interested. They enjoy shopping, swimming, cafes, restaurants and arts and crafts at home.

What will you be doing?

• You will be responsible for the collection of overdue payments in line with Veolia's Service Level Agreements via telephone and post within the target times set, taking into account Debtor Days, Aged Debt and Bad debts. Ensuring all customer contact records are accurate and kept up to date.
  
• You will respond to customer queries which arise from a number of channels. Logging these queries and forwarding to the relevant business unit for investigation and resolution. Follow up on resolved queries ensuring payment is received for previously disputed items.
  
• You will handle a wide range of communications with customers both internally and externally, maintaining good trading relationships. Notifying customers of changes to their accounts such as changes in credit limit or account suspension.
  
• In addition, you will need to be aware of credit risk on credit accounts and conduct credit limit reviews when applicable. At times it will be necessary to initiate legal processes when all other collection means have failed.
  
• At all times, you will need to ensure you comply with compliance rules and regulations regarding customer data and customer bank information.
  

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience of working within a busy Credit Control team with specific experience in Services and the collection of monies, is essential to be successful in this role.
  
• You will have experience of dealing with a wide range of customers which includes; privatesector corporations, 3rd party suppliers and public sector clients such as local authorities.
  
• A confident communicator you will be able to convey clear and concise messages across both written and verbal channels.
  
• Competent computer skills are required, with experience of Microsoft Office Suite and Google ideally. Experience of Workday would also be advantageous, but not essential.
  
• In terms of background, you will have experience within a large corporate environment or have come from a busy credit control team used to dealing with high volumes.

What you'll be doing;

• Accurate, timely processing of file received from insurance claims handler through Excel Insurance model, reporting and resolving any errors with claims handler
  
• Workday journal posting of movement in open and closed claims for Waste, Water and Energy entities
  
• Posting of Workday month end journals for; cash book, insurance recharges, transfer of invoices to balance sheet, average provision, prepayment, accruals, and bank account code transfer
  
• Production of Insurance summary and Insurance movement report
  
• Prepare and issue monthly Insurance Analysis to Finance and Operational Directors
  
• Detailed production of Insurance balance sheet reconciliations, including cash book
  
• Forecast year end insurance provision
  
• Regular reporting of results and updates with Insurance team
  
• Timely response to queries received from operational business
  
• Completion of payment requests for Insurance bank top-up
  
• Work with stakeholders to produce annual Insurance Paper for external auditors
  
• Manage the external audit process for insurance and assess impact of new accounting standards
  
• Support the Insurance Team with Budget preparation and analysis
  

What we're looking for;

• Fully qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA Accountant
  
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google suite
  
• Experience of Workday advantageous
  
• Must have an inquiring and analytical mind, and be able to demonstrate good attention to detail
  
• Strong interpersonal skills are required to liaise confidently with other parts of the Business
