Understand the individual responsibilities of all staff working in the QEF WDA, with all Active SOPs having been read and signed and all accompanying competency checks signed and witnessed by the RP or Deputy. Support the Responsible Person or Deputy and work as part of the QEF WDA team to deliver the legal and professional obligations of a WDA registered site. You will be working within a multi-disciplinary service, in close collaboration with our district nursing colleagues, the acute MDfT and the Surgical Appliances department.

In this role you will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of specialist clinical rotations into nail surgery; biomechanics clinic and the acute MDfT wound clinic (outpatient clinics and wards). You will work alongside very experienced podiatrists and will be encouraged and supported in all aspects of your professional development. You will have regular supervision and access to our Preceptorship Programme (Oxleas AHP Preceptorship).

Oxleas offers a wide range of NHS healthcare services to people in community and secure environment settings. Our services include community health care such as district nursing and speech and language therapy, care for people with learning disabilities and mental health care such as psychiatry, nursing and therapies. Our multidisciplinary teams look after people of all ages and we work in close partnership with other parts of the NHS, local councils and the voluntary sector and through our new provider collaboratives. You will have excellent clinical skills and experience of treating patients with a wide variety of long-term conditions, especially those with high-risk clinical needs and there is an emphasis on wound management. Our aim is to deliver excellent quality care to patients to maintain their mobility and independence. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for contributing to the service provided by the Trust.

Applicants must be registered with the HCPC and have a degree in Podiatry with a Local Anaesthesia certificate. It is essential that you have the ability to work flexibly, and you should be a driver with access to a car for work purposes as domiciliary visit are required as part of this role.
