We have an opportunity available for a Carpentry / Building Supervisor to effectively supervise all staff and contractors under their control. In this role, you would effectively and professionally manage self, the in-house trades staff and contractors. Additionally, you would cover other Supervisors' areas in their absence.

You would oversee internal and external maintenance of building fabrics and infrastructure, such as road and pathways, roofs, flooring and decorating. Work not limited to, and may include, compliance of passive fire systems and working alongside colleagues to deliver patient needs.

The role of the Buildings Supervisor is to effectively supervise all staff and contractors under their control.

To manage the In-house staff and Contractors effectively and professionally with additional responsibility to cover other Supervisors’ areas in their absence, for example Carpentry.

To oversee internal and external Maintenance of Building Fabric and Infrastructure, such as Road and Pathways, Roofs, Flooring and Decorating.

Work not limited to and may include compliance of Passive Fire Systems and working alongside colleagues to deliver patient needs.

Being a member of the Estates Operations Team, you have both a group and individual responsibility for defined aspects of the service and will ensure that your contribution is both positive and beneficial in helping the Estates Operations Team and the Estates and Facilities Directorate to fulfill the Trust’s overall objectives.

We are seeking a registered Biomedical Scientist/Trainee Biomedical Scientist.

Please note that candidates in trainee Biomedical Scientist post will be paid at Band 4 rate, until successful completion of the IBMS portfolio and HCPC registration.
• Performs a wide range of routine healthcare science activities, whilst supporting junior members of staff including specimen receipt, specimen preparation including assisting pathologists at cut-up, embedding and microtomy of surgical tissue, slide collation, specimen storage and maintenance of equipment
• Maintains clinical and maintenance records in relation to activities carried out.
• Demonstrate own duties to new or less experienced employees.
• To work flexibly in reflection of service needs this may include an extended working day and/or participation in delivery of a 24 hour, 7 days per week service.

In order to be considered for this position, you must be able to start the Post Graduate Diploma High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Training course on the 8th April 2024.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a high-level qualification in mental health and start of your career in the IAPT Programme.

Please be advised that the university will be offering a blend of classroom based and online teaching for the duration of the course. Additionally, on your clinical days you will be working from base on some days and from home working on other days.

It is essential to have a core profession that will confer eligibility to apply for BABCP accreditation following completion of the course - please read Why Work for Us document. Applicants with a background as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner will require a minimum of 24 months in post from the date of qualifying before the start of the High Intensity training programme.
