The Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) Office at NTU is established under the NTU I&E initiative to drive overall synergy, coordination and interaction among the pillars along the innovation and entrepreneurship value chain at NTU. The Office seeks to accelerate the University’s efforts to translate NTU’s scientific discoveries, innovations and creative work into technological and social entrepreneurship activities that benefit industry and society.
The incumbent will perform key administrative support for the I&E office, ensuring process efficiency/effectiveness as well as smooth day-to-day operations. He/she will ensure timely and transparent financial reporting for the I&E Office, that complies with NTU financial policies and standards.
Responsibilities:
Perform financial accounting and reporting; track usage of office budget, including monthly closing of accounts and preparation of financial reporting packages. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation that comply with NTU financial policies and standards.
Develop and implement efficient administrative processes and procedures to ensure smooth operations of the I&E Office.
Manage all procurement matters in the I&E Office, in accordance to university’s financial regulations and policies.
Work with NTU internal stakeholders to collect and organise data and information from various sources for monitoring, projections and analysis; perform data analysis to support data-driven management decisions.
Any other ad-hoc initiatives and projects undertaken by the Office.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accountancy, or a relevant discipline from a well-recognised university.
At least 3 years of administrative and/or finance work experience.
Hands-on experience in financial and accounting IT systems and applications.
Knowledge of financial systems (such as SAP, Concur, Ariba) would be advantageous.
Good knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with various management levels.
Adaptable and proactive, able to multi-task and work independently with minimum supervision.
Analytical and meticulous.
