Who we are looking for
We are seeking an experienced Application Developer to join our team in Boston, MA, supporting the Shareholder Services business unit of State Street Global Advisors. This is exciting opportunity to join a team that is modernizing and transforming our existing systems and infrastructure with a new custom built transfer agency system over the next 2 years. This role will be doing UI work, micro services, and database queries. This ideal candidate will be able to work with various business members globally as well as multiple other global IT teams.
What you will be responsible for
As an Application Developer you will
- Design, develop and support applications used by the Shareholder Services business teams
- Consult with team subject matter experts, peers and business analysts on aspects of business requirements
- Identify and resolve application issues and bugs
- Participation in design review and code review
- Quality code development within reasonable timeline
Technology and Knowledge Qualifications
- Experience, primarily in Java (8, 11, 17), Oracle PL/SQL development
- Experience in design and development of Rest/Microservice solutions
- Experience with AWS ECS, ElastiCache, SQS implementation
- Experience with Spring Boot
- Experience with Linux, including Unix scripting.
- Experience with IDE tools such as Eclipse, VSC
- Experience with Agile (Kanban) iterative development
- Experience with JBOSS Application Server
- Experience in one of Spring and ORM tools like Hibernate, JPA
- Knowledge of Autosys Job Scheduler, Cron
- Experience with Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory
- Knowledge of Docker
- Experience with Ant, Maven, JUnit, JMock, DBUnit
- Seeking candidates who are local or willing to relocate.
Other Beneficial Skills
- Knowledge of the Asset Management or Investment Management industry and data
- Knowledge of UI development via React JS, Node JS
- Experience with job scheduling software such as Autosys and Cron a plus
- Experience with or basic understanding of IBM Message File Transfer (MFX)
- Experience with SonarQube, Black Duck, Veracode
- Experience of Spring Cloud, Eureka and Resillience4j
- Experience of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and ForgeRock
- Knowledge of Redshift Databricks
- Knowledge of code review tools like pmd, Sonar, and Checkstyle
- Knowledge of Kubernetes.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronic and Communications Engineering or a related equivalent field
- 8 plus years of professional experience in a senior developer role

$110,000 - $185,000 Annual
