The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Epilepsy team.

The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) has one of the largest, most comprehensive programmes in Europe for the evaluation and medical and surgical treatment of epilepsy.

Based at Queen Square in central London and Chalfont St-Peter – and also locally within Camden the epilepsy group works within UCLH NHS Foundation Trust and has close links with UCL Institute of Neurology and UCL Partners, including Great Ormond Street Hospital.
These links allow the epilepsy group to evaluate and treat the widest range of patients – ranging from individuals seeking diagnosis after their first seizure – to more complex cases, including those for whom epilepsy forms only part of a broader medical or surgical condition.

We are looking for someone who can work autonomously and as part of a strong team to provide care and support to a wide range of patients with a diagnosis of epilepsy. Care is provided through nurse led outpatient clinics, telephone clinics and ward based care. The candidate must be able to make decisions.

The successful individual will have a pivotal role in delivering Trust Objectives and ensuring that the care delivered within this specialty reflects the Trust Vision and Values.

Fundamental to the role is working closely with the Epilepsy Consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team, along with the community team. Clinical duties include running nurse-led outpatient clinics, including general epilepsy and VNS. Providing direct advice and liaison with GP’s and other allied health professionals.

The post holder will be expected to practice autonomously to undertake assessment of people with epilepsy using a range of different assessment methods, which included physical examination, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and evaluating seizure diaries.

The post holder will provide education to patients, families and healthcare professionals on epilepsy within the trust; assist in clinical trials, audits and research into epilepsy and future management, to develop and improve services for people with Epilepsy

This is a permanent contract that requires a five-day week commitment (37.5hr) without night, weekend, or bank holiday working.

Applications are invited for to apply for the Registrar in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery at North Middlesex University Hospital in North London.

The successful candidate will undertake both trauma and elective work, joining along with 9x Consultants, 2x Associate Specialists, 9x Specialty Doctors, 3x Specialist Registrars, 4x Foundation Year 2's, 4x Trust Doctors , and 2x Foundation Year 1 Doctors.
The post holder will be expected to provide Registrar grade cover on a rotational shift basis throughout general surgery; and, participate in the on-call registrar rota. Expected to supervise the FY1s in service delivery, inpatients, and day services. And, provide a rapid response to A&E to facilitate the 4 hour trolley-wait target – during the on call shift will be available solely for emergency duties.
The department is a well-functioning and cohesive unit that provides essential services to the local population consistent with its location in a District General Hospital. There is an approximate 50:50 split between Trauma and Elective work. The hospital does not receive multiple or serious trauma cases as those are moved directly to the specialised trauma centres in the Trauma network. We see approximately 150 fracture necks of femur and the majority of our remaining trauma work comprises isolated femoral, tibial, forearm, upper arm and ankle fractures. The department refers suspected tumours to the Unit at RNOH, Stanmore. Spinal problems with neural issues are referred to the Royal London. We work closely with our Radiology colleagues through weekly MDTs on Wednesdays (1230).


· Provide doctor cover on a rotational shift basis throughout trauma and orthopaedic surgery.• On-call is 1:10 with cross cover with urology.

Due to the expansion of our service, we are advertising for a permanent Band 8A Senior Clinical Scientist post in Diagnostic Radiology and Radiation safety (RP). We are looking for self-motivated and enthusiastic physicist with a few years of experience and a good background in Quality Assurance, optimisation and radiation protection/safety, to work within the Radiological Sciences Unit (RSU) at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (ICHNT). The post holder is expected to be a registered HCPC clinical scientist who will play a key role in procurement, acceptance, commissioning, optimisation and routine quality assurance of x-ray diagnostic equipment. They will provide MPE support in Diagnostic Radiology and contribute to the development and optimisation of examination protocols, providing compliance with IRMER legislation. The post holder will work in collaboration with an IMT1 (GIM) doctor to provide ward cover on the Infectious Diseases ward. This will include providing excellent care for inpatients and ambulatory care reviews, including ward rounds, ward work (reviewing patients, ordering and reviewing investigations), clinics and MDTs. The post holder would be expected to actively participate in departmental activities, including teaching, audit, quality improvement activities and presentation at internal clinical seminars. We are looking for an ambitious and dedicated individual, who would form an integral part of the Dermatology Team. The post is aimed at IMT2s and the timetable is equivalent to that of an ST3 trainee in dermatology. The post provides an excellent opportunity to acquire general skills for those planning a career in dermatology, either via the Specialty Training route or via the CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route.



This is a busy department, with outpatient activity including General Dermatology and Skin Cancer clinics; specialist clinics at the Charing Cross Hospital site include Hair, Eczema, Hidradenitis suppurativa, and Complex Skin Cancer. A complex Medical Dermatology clinic runs monthly (virtual).



This is a highly competitive post attracting a high volume of applications. Candidates must have GMC registration, NHS experience, IMT2 experience and thorough knowledge of Internal Medicine, Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), and ability to demonstrate commitment to Dermatology as a specialty. Joint Emergency Team (Integrated Rapid Response Team)

This is an integrated role working across both health and social care which is jointly funded by the Royal Borough of Greenwich and Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and is accountable to both organisations.

The Joint Emergency Team (JET) provides nursing, therapy, medical and social care crisis intervention, incorporating the 2-hour urgent community response (including the falls pick up service) and a virtual ward pathway supporting adults to remain in their home and avoid admission to hospital or care homes.

The team operates 365 days per year 08.00 to 20.30 receiving referrals from a range of health, social care professionals and triages, assesses, and delivers treatment and intervention to ensure the client / patient can remain safely in their own home.

The post holder will be responsible for the leadership management and development of the Joint Emergency Team as well as the Royal Borough of Greenwich out of hours service.





The post holder will be required to provide leadership and coordination of the team which includes the out of hour service of the Royal Borough of Greenwich (RBG) and will have a lead role in supporting the development and delivery of practice standards within the Urgent Community Response Service (UCR), the Falls Pick Up Service and the Virtual Ward. This will include operational leadership to the multidisciplinary team to ensure an integrated model of care is delivered.

The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team in relation to activity generated by referrals made to the MDT to ensure service outcomes and performance indicators are met.
