We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated operational manager to join our busy gynaecology team as a Service Delivery Manager.
The post holder will be joining a diverse multipdisciplinary team of clinicians and operational collegues.
The successful candidate will take a leading role in the day-to-day management of the clinics, including the new Single Point of Access, ensuring there are robust processes in place that enable clinic slots to be booked to optimum utilisation so that there are minimal DNA’s and cancellations and the correct patients are booked into each clinic.
The post holder will work closely with operational and clinical leads from the gynecological team, and will play a key part in supporting these teams to embed improved clinical pathways and service redesign initiatives in line with their clinical strategy.
You will be responsible for ensuring there are clear and transparent measures of success within the team, and for developing lines of communication both within the team and out into the organization that support effective dissemination of information and escalation.
You will line manage a Women’s Health Hub administrator, holding them accountable for meeting personal objectives and local and national targets, as well as supporting and nurturing them to develop their capabilities.
In return, we will develop your skills, knowledge and experience with formal and on-the-job training.
Your primary base will be the gynaecology offices in Whipps Cross Hospital. However, there is also flexibility for you to work from home where appropriate.
The Service Delivery Manager is responsible to the Project Manager for the overall performance of all aspects of the Single Point of Access and clinic management for the Women’s Health Hub. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day clinic management of these services to ensure that all patients are booked in accordance to the Trust Patient Access Policy.
The post holder will support the clinical teams to develop their services in accordance to their clinical strategy, ensuring efficient management of Women’s Health Hub clinics and wider gynaecology outpatient appointments. This will include Consultants, senior nursing and operational colleagues.
The post holder will be responsible for establishing and monitoring clear and transparent measures of success (KPIs) for the outpatient services, such as ensuring optimal utilization of clinics, reducing cancellations and decreasing the DNA rate whilst also ensuring a good patient experience that is safe and adheres to national and Trust guidelines.
You will support the directorate’s implementation of service improvement as appropriate and general development of services. You will pay a key part in supporting change as part of the review and improvement of care pathways alongside clinical teams.
