Essential Functions

• Manage accounts receivables to recognize and address inefficiencies

• Acquire new clients in receivables/payments business through heavy prospecting efforts, targeting existing relationships and leveraging personal portfolio

• Use existing Commerce Bank sales presentation tools in all industries and general accounts receivables settings with executive level targets in Treasury/ Finance/ Accounts Receivables

What you'll be doing

As a member of the US Service Desk, you will be responsible to provide outstanding technology end user support in a fast-paced and changing environment.  You will be troubleshooting and resolving issues for CIBC employees on technology tools used to do their jobs; these tools range from applications, services, remote connections, upgrades or any other technology related issue they may have. 

• The Technology Support Analyst is responsible for providing and managing complex and escalated support for technology products and applications.   

• You will be expected to take corrective action or escalate issues, review ticket notes from the Service Desk Associates supporting an unresolved issue or request and design next steps toward resolution, monitor key issues and alert if incidents appear to be a larger issue, and take ownership of Service Desk engagement in changes in compliance with established controls, standards, policies, and procedures. 

• The role works with multiple technical areas to perform a broad variety of assignments, employing a diverse skillset to provide level two technology product and application support that meets end user needs. 

• The Technology Support Analyst works closely with others to achieve synergies and accomplish common goals, documenting technology support steps for knowledge management and taking corrective actions that meet defined completion and delivery times. 

• The role is often required to interpret ticket information, policies, standards, and requirements to meet work objectives, such as monitoring and escalating major incidents and maintaining appropriate system and application access rights. You’re flexible to work alternate schedules if required including evening or weekend hours, or special times for system changes.

• You will investigate origin and cause of claims by contacting the appropriate parties (insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, special investigation unit, other adjusters, or public personnel).
• You will handle both 1st party and 3rd party claims under multiple policy types and endorsements.
• You will conduct on-site inspections, evaluate damages, and handle claim negotiations with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and public adjusters.
• You will interpret and determine policies, leases, by-laws, declarations, articles and contract coverages and apply to all parties for assigned losses.
• You will provide all parties with claim process and status, answer questions from customers, and close files.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-focused service.
• Demonstrated experience handling 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims across our operating territories.
• Demonstrated experience handling moderately complex claims.
• Solid understanding of policies and endorsements related to casualty coverages.

Licenses

• Valid driver's license required plus an acceptable driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, or poles. Visit areas that have a higher hazard than a typical office (customer homes).
• Move in different positions to accomplish tasks in different environments.
• Adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.

• Low/high temperatures, outdoor elements (precipitation and wind).

This is a flexible work arrangement where you will work from home, based in Denver/Colorado Springs, CO area. You will not report regularly to an office, but will work within your assigned territory. Your Role:

As a Senior Homeowner Claims Field Adjuster, you will obtain and record required loss information from the insured. Under close supervision, you will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle homeowners’ property/personal property claims, including adjustment to conclusion; involves low- to higher-complexity claims that typically require physical inspection. You will be the owning adjuster for all claims assigned at the Field Examiner level. In this role, you will be expected to progress to the competency level of a Level 5 Homeowner Adjuster. May be required to assign, coordinate, and oversee independent adjuster assignments.

Your Work:

• Investigate and evaluate all elements of property loss claims of moderate-high severity both in the field and virtually.

• Contacts and meets with the insured or 3rd party virtually or in-person to photograph and inspect all damaged dwellings, other structures, and personal property.

• Determines scope of repairs. Prepares a repair bid using Xactimate estimating system.

• Comes to an agreed cost of repair with the insured, and possibly Network Repair Program contractor (NRP) or insured's contractor.

• Follows the repair process to conclusion.

• With the assistance of experts where needed, ensures that the cause of the loss is thoroughly investigated and identified.

• Settles and pays dwelling or other structure damages once the coverage analysis is completed.

• Handles all correspondence to ensure the file is regulatory compliant.

• Actively shapes our company culture (e.g., participating in employee resource groups, volunteering, etc.).

• Lives into cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: helping onboard new team members, building relationships, etc.).

• Travels as needed for role, including local travel as well as occasional divisional / team meetings and other in-person meetings.

• Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time, helping other teams, etc.

Required Experience, Education and Skills:

• High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and experience preferred.

• A minimum of four years of claims experience is required, with a preferred emphasis on homeowner claims.

The national average hourly pay range for this position is $38.86 – $43.17.  However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full hourly rate range for this position across all the states we hire in is $35.01 – $49.60.  This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 10% of eligible pay.
