Plum Tree Ward is a 30-bedded medical ward. 15 beds specialising in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, alongside with 15 beds for general medicine. There is a diverse patient group which includes Crohn's disease, Liver Disease, enteral nutrition, Substance misuse and general medicine conditions.

The ward is challenging but also exciting to work on, with so many opportunities to develop your clinical skills caring for acutely unwell patients. Our team is hard working, positive and friendly. We work together as a team and we pride ourselves on going that "extra mile" for our patients.

Prepare and post journals as required and maintain backing papers for audit purposes Raise sales invoices and credit notes in line with agreed schedule or as required. To review the Trusts unpaid invoices report on a weekly basis and liaise with Management Accountants to ensure all invoices are processed within the prompt payment policy. Support the Finance team in the maintenance of the ledger, undertaking queries and setting up codes as required. This will include clearing the Trust suspense accounts. To contribute to the accurate allocation of overheads and recharges as necessary. To contribute to the costing of system transformation projects. To assist the Financial Accountant in preparing the Trust Annual Accounts and working papers, including the Agreement of Balances exercise. Support Management Accountants in the financial planning process as required. To contribute to the development of systems and processes within the Finance Directorate. To participate in the continuing professional development process. To organise team meetings. Maintain filing, in both paper and electronic form, in accordance with Trust policies. To carry out any other duties as may be required by the Director of Finance or the Deputy Director of Finance.

We are seeking a great Farm and Attraction Worker with an engaging and friendly personality to join our team working on the farm at The Rare Breeds Centre.

AS A FARM AND ATTRACTION WORKER YOU WILL:

o Undertake general farm work
o Ensure the wellbeing of livestock
o Maintain animal enclosures
o Assist with providing the daily visitor events
o Support the smooth and safe running of the Rare Breeds Centre as a farm, visitor attraction and life skills provider
o Drive farm vehicles including a tractor with ancillary attachments


This Farm and Attraction Worker role is being offered on a permanent full time contract. The hours are 37.5 per week (between 07:30 and 17:30) and you will be required to work alternate weekends with 2 days off before or after your working weekend. Due to our rural location you will need your own transport.

AS A FARM AND ATTRACTION WORKER YOU WILL IDEALLY HAVE OR WILLING TO LEARN:

o One years' practical knowledge and experience of working with and handling a range of small and large livestock
o Experience of driving tractors and ancillary attachments
o Competent in the use of hand tools and farm machinery
o Experience of working with/alongside adults with learning disabilities
o A friendly and engaging personality with excellent customer service skills
o A full UK (Manual) driving licence and be aged 21 or over

Canterbury Oast Trust owns and runs the Rare Breeds Centre, a busy tourist farm attraction with more than 130,000 visitors a year.

You will actively participate in Trust Clinical Governance activities, including audit, mortality review, and appraisal process ensuring that the data collection and processing is consistently accurate and timely, and complies with the Trust Data Quality Policy and Information Governance procedures.

As an educator, you will be teaching and training as well as supervising the junior doctors, nurses, and students to promote a positive and supportive atmosphere.

You will be responsible to engage in the regular appraisal process for revalidation purposes.
