The post holder will:
Transport
• Collection and distribution of confidential items such as, case notes and medical records.
• Collection and delivery of pathology specimens and blood products to various sites, across our footprint, as per our clients’ instructions.
• Responsible for the signature and safe delivery of prescription books.
• Responsible for the signature, checking and safe delivery of Controlled Drugs to different NHS and private sites as dictated by the pharmacy department.
• Carriage and Transportation of prescription drugs and pharmaceutical products to varied client locations, including private address, hospices, nursing homes and HM Prisons.
• Carriage and Transportation of Radioactive Materials. Completion of associated paperwork, in accordance with current legislation.
• Collection and carriage of mail, sorting, distribution, and delivery to and for our clients across our footprint.
• Carriage and Transportation of furniture and equipment, as per the requirements of our clients. With assistance if these are large or heavy and require a two-man lift.
• Deliver various items to and from specified locations, to and from client locations, across our footprint, as per the requirements of our clients.
• Plan routes daily to complete the daily tasks, considering road and traffic conditions.
• Complete time sheets, daily vehicle log sheets and any other necessary administration documents.
Portering
• Collection and delivery of domiciliary laundry to and from client locations, across our footprint, as per the requirements of our clients.
• Completing ad hoc requests for furniture, beds, racks/shelves, waste in and around the hospitals.
• Checking for condemned items, checking a movement of goods request has been completed and if chargeable, details have been provided to transport dept.
• Disposing of condemned items as instructed.
Vehicles
• Carry out cleaning, daily maintenance, routine safety checking of vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy and legal.
