Consultant in Acute Medicine

We are looking to welcome applications for Consultants to join our dynamic and rapidly evolving team of acute physicians. We are especially interested in candidates who are keen to take on a leadership role with exciting management opportunities, supported by our executive team. We have a trust commitment to expand the numbers of our Acute Physicians in accordance with an exciting development of the medical take which is supported by other medical specialities.

We are looking to appoint Acute Physicians (or General Physicians with interest in Acute Medicine) to work with our dynamic teams based at York Hospital

These are 10 PA posts , based in Medicine Care Group, York Hospital. There is the potential to subsequently increase to 12PA subject to agreement with Clinical Director, all applicants will have the opportunities to develop specialist skills.

The post holder will join a team of Acute Physicians and Acute Geriatricians who provide senior clinical leadership and daily ward round on the Acute Medical Units and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC)

York Hospital provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient services. The post holder will take an active role in specialty care of inpatients and will also participate in the General Medicine on call rota at the site. The department is part of a care group wide transformation which has allowed us to develop our Same Day Emergency Care to control assessment of patients and flow into the bed base, working closely with colleagues in Emergency Medicine and General Practice. In a challenging and multicultural environment, we seek for a senior Functional tester to join our Core Banking IT department in charge of the development and maintenance of the International Core Banking System of Credit Agricole CIB. This information system is deployed in 25 business units all around the world. The system has multiple modules to manage reference data, commercial back office functions (payments, remittances, loans, deposits, guarantees, letters of credit …), accounting, management control and credit risk monitoring. The system caters to local regulatory reporting needs and head office reporting, based on a data warehouse.

The candidate will be in charge of understanding the requirements and to test the payment system of the bank which is Global Pay Plus – Sevice Platform (GPP-SP) from Finastra (previously D&H). The role will focus primarily on testing the various evolutions of the in-house solution together with the payment engine (GPP-SP).

Main responsibilities

As a Functional Tester:

· Handle the core banking system’s and payment system’s various test phases : regression tests, integration tests, functional tests, test automation

· Good Knowledge and working experience of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.

· Define functional test scenarios for core banking and payment systems

· Overall responsible for ensuring End to End testing for all the streams.

· Maintain up to date test libraries (test scenarios, test cases)

The successful applicant will be on the middle grade on call rota on an approximately 1in7 frequency with prospective cover

This is a 12 month renewable contract

The successful candidate will join the team as a Medical Retina Fellow and will work closely with Prof Gale, Mr Hanson, Mrs Bailey, Miss Topping, Ms Airody, Ms Venugopal, Ms Gupta. The timetable will expose the post holder clinic experience and theatre experience if competencies allow.

Successful candidates will be exposed to retinal clinics, laser treatments Research and urgent care.

In addition, the fellow will also be expected to help facilitate research and ensure that all IP rights of the Trust are observed where applicable and the timetable will ensure dedicated time for this.

Job Description

The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy is a leading public policy school in Asia, part of the National University of Singapore. The school offers several Master's degree programmes, a small PhD programme, as well as executive education programmes for policymakers in Asia and beyond.

To serve the educational mission of the School and the University, the Educator Track has been designed to bring together and support the career pathway of outstanding educators. Faculty on the Educator Track will be expected to teach as well contribute to the broader educational mission of the School. At more senior levels, they are expected to lead on pedagogical innovations and in teaching and learning matters. A research background in a primary disciplinary domain is valued. Scholarly research on pedagogy and teaching is a bonus, but not mandated. Although the NUS Educator Track is not a tenurable line, it has a route towards an Associate Professorship on an open contract, along with the possibility of funding for overseas conference travel.

We are recruiting for a full time Assistant Medical Secretary on a fixed term basis to join the Secretarial Team within the Breast Department, based at York Hospital. You will provide support to the Medical Secretaries and their Consultant Teams.

Excellent administration/secretarial skills and audio-typing experience/qualifications are required, as well as a good understanding of customer relations. You will be required to deal with queries from patients, Consultants and GPs.

You will be responsible for typing clinical and administrative letters, answering telephone enquiries and dealing with patient queries, as well as covering the Medical Secretaries during periods of absence, and multi-disciplinary team meeting work.

The successful candidates will be required to have good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise the demands of a busy office and manage their time and workload effectively.

· Very good understanding of project management tooling like WBS, MS project, JIRA etc.

· Very good understanding of system design, development methodologies, testing frameworks, deployment and maintenance activities

· Working experience with Agile Methodology in at least on project
