We are looking for an enthusiastic Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join us in the Histopathology laboratory based at York Hospital. We provide a UKAS accredited diagnostic pathology service for the Scarborough, Hull and York Pathology Service and process over 33,500 cases per annum. The post is for 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will be HCPC registered and hold the IBMS specialist portfolio in Cellular Pathology. As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you will be experienced and operating as a Biomedical Scientist within Histopathology, in line with ISO 15189 standards.

We invite you to have a tour of the lab on day of your interview if you are successfully shortlisted.

You will be expected to undertake routine and specialist histopathology including immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, special stains, molecular diagnostics, laboratory QC and some dissection work. In the next twelve months we will have implemented a new LIMS and digital pathology.

You will possess the knowledge and skill levels enabling you to work both independently; supervising other lab staff as appropriate; and under the supervision of senior biomedical scientists. You will also play a role in the training and development of scientific staff.

Candidates without the IBMS Specialist Portfolio will not be considered for interview.

These posts sit within the Orthopaedic Team at Associate Specialist grade and will include Consultant and Middle Grade level responsibilities. This post should appeal to senior Middle grade surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery looking to progress their careers to a higher level of performance, autonomy and independence whilst still working within an enthusiastic Consultant led unit.

This position is created to promote and accelerate the international expansion in Asia Pacific region. The Investments and M&A team is instrumental in originating, analysing, and executing M&A opportunities and strategic analysis. This will allow the company to continue expanding its worldwide footprint and consolidating its standing as one of the major developers, owners and operators of renewable assets in the world.

The individual in this role will analyse and execute worldwide strategic investments and divestments (M&A, partnerships, greenfield) and will be directly responsible for the deal execution process in allocated geographies and deals: valuation, offer preparation, due diligence coordination, deal negotiation and internal approvals. They will also contribute and facilitate investment-related communications and decision-making within the organization and have a key liaising role between APAC and EDP/ EDPR Headquarters in Portugal and Spain.

Responsibilities

• Drive investment strategy development in collaboration with senior leadership to develop and refine the investment strategy for the APAC region, aligning with corporate objectives and market trends.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities, partnerships, and M&A targets that enhance the company’s portfolio.
• Lead comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial, operational, and legal evaluations of target companies and projects.
• Develop and manage detailed financial models to perform valuations, assess risks, and overall feasibility of potential projects or acquisitions.
• Lead the analysis for bid strategy for NBO/BO stages and (Auction and Direct) Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) bids.
• Negotiate terms and conditions for investments and acquisitions, working closely with legal and financial advisors to structure deals effectively.
• Collaborate with external advisors (e.g., legal counsel, financial advisor) and internal EDPR teams (e.g., operations, wind, tax) for NBO and BO stages of execution of M&A transactions.
• Prepare investment memoranda and high quality presentations to assist group decision-making bodies in global investment decisions.
• Participate in strategic analysis projects for the group (namely portfolio analysis and business planning).
• Analyse greenfield projects in terms of economic risk and strategic options and provide reports of findings.
• Mentor junior team members and take responsibility of the quality of their deliverables

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
• At least 10 years in core valuation, M&A, corporate finance or investment analysis. Big4, Investment Banking or Private Equity background is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of valuation (FCFF and FCFE), financing, accounting, and strategic analysis.
• M&A due diligence and deal negotiation (SPA, SHA, JDA, JV) experience required. Deal execution experience within APAC region countries is strongly desired.
• Experience in the Energy or Infrastructure sector, preferably in renewables, is required.
• Strong teamwork skills. Ability to manage empathetically interdepartmental relations within APAC regions and local Headquarters.
• Strong time-management skills & ability to work well under pressure and take on responsibility.
• Ability to demonstrate strategic vision and high attention to detail.

What You Will Do:

CoverGo is looking for a Pre-Sales Business Analyst that will provide support for sales activities and delivery teams, working with the solutions architects, writing proposals, solutions overviews and value propositions, translating these into offerings for delivery and then presenting them to the clients. You will therefore assist the sales team in the sales conversion process, answer RFPs, and configure simple proof of concepts of the CoverGo platform.

• Requirement Gathering and Analysis - Attending discovery calls with the sales team, understanding, analyzing, and clarifying the requirements, detailed scoping of requirements.
• Research & Solutioning - Technical solutions identification as per the business goals & requirements expressed by the client, and based on the CoverGo platform features.
• Effort & Cost Estimation - Collaborating and discussing with the engineering & delivery teams to prepare the effort estimations and best solution for clients.
• Demo & Proof of Concept preparation - Build & configure insurance products of clients in the CoverGo platform, and demonstrate such platform capabilities & features to clients.
• Presentation - Preparing techno-commercial proposals and assisting the sales team during presentation to the clients.
• Once deals are closed won by the sales team, assist on the handover process with the delivery team and lead the project kick-off meeting.

What We Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Technology, Business Administration, and/or a related field.

As a National Bank Examiner (Analyst to Assistant Deputy Comptroller), you will:

• Analyze supervision findings for banks and thrifts assigned to the Assistant Deputy Comptroller (ADC), identify areas of concern, determine methods of resolution and recommend appropriate action and/or follow-up.
• Fill in for the ADC during short absences. May assist the ADC to develop and monitor the performance of the annual plan, including budget for the ADC's portfolio. Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the field office as requested.
• Supervise and manage the work of assigned office support personnel, and may make the assignment of work for field office personnel.
• Periodically serve as Examiner-In-Charge (EIC) in community banks or thrifts or assist in supervisory activities in midsize, credit card banks, or large banks and comparable thrifts, as requested.
• Attend meetings with Boards of Directors and bank and thrift management, representing the Supervisory Office. Act as the liaison with representatives of the banking and thrift industry and community groups. Provide technical assistance and guidance to bankers, bank directors, examining personnel, outside parties, and district and Washington office personnel.
• Coordinate sharing of resources with other analysts assisting an ADC, and work closely with district counsel on problem institutions.
