1. To carry and prioritise own patient caseload and other ongoing tasks, allocating appropriate work to technical instructors and students.

2. To perform specialist therapy assessment of patients with diverse and complex presentations, using advanced clinical reasoning skills to analyse, interpret and make judgements on complex facts or situations, to provide specialised packages of care, treatment and advice to patients, based on sound knowledge of evidence based practice and the range of treatment options and/or adaptive techniques and/or equipment provision, and/or care services.

6. Attend multi-disciplinary meetings as the hand therapist representative for individual patients, to inform complex discussions, gain a full range of information prior to planning patient centred goals, analyse options for meeting goals and participate in the clinical decision making process and development of comprehensive MDT plans for discharge.

MANAGERIAL

Independently assess, plan and identify mental health needs, facilitate appropriate care and treatment.

Non-Medical Prescribing: Registered practitioners who are Non-Medical Prescribers are accountable for their prescribing activities by ensuring they are aware of their professional accountability and any restrictions or special considerations in their prescribing practice. Qualified Non-Medical Prescribers must register their qualification with their Professional Body and with the Trust Database in accordance with the Trust Non-Medical Prescribing procedure. Supplementary prescribers must work within Clinical Management Plans in close association with a medical practitioner.

To acting in a consultative capacity as a specialist mental health clinician within the general hospital setting and team, to include advice on medication and contributing to diagnosis.

The Haematology Laboratory at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a well-organised and highly motivated Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join our friendly and dedicated Haematology & Blood Transfusion team. Our services are based over two acute hospital sites at Conquest Hospital, Hastings and Eastbourne District General Hospital - you will be based at Conquest, Hastings although some cross-site working is required.

The Department is fully automated in its analytical platform for Blood Transfusion (Ortho Vision), Coagulation (Sysmex CN6000), Special Haematology (BioRad Variant II) and Haematology (Sysmex XN1000/2000), and uses the iLab/Apex Laboratory Information system. LIMS is due to be replaced in 2026 with Winpath Enterprise.

Full 24/ hour, 7 days a week acute services are operated at both acute hospital sites. Candidates will be required to participate in the full shift rota, covering weekdays, nights and weekends after suitable training and assessment.

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will play a pivotal role in the Group’s leadership team. They will provide vision, professional leadership and strategic direction to achieve the Group’s aims and improvements in quality, efficiency and effectiveness.



The CIO reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. They will be the lead expert responsible for delivery of the digital agenda within the Group, leading the use and adoption of new digital technologies and approaches including AI, deploying clinical benefits to gain productivity, enhance the working lives of colleagues and deliver improved patient experience. They will be able to work collaboratively with multi-professional clinical teams and administrative teams across all sites that make up the CCS and NCH&C Group model.



The CIO will work collaboratively with the ICS digital leadership teams across all the ICSs within the group footprint and play an active role in the development of digital strategy within them.



Key Duties and responsibilities



Corporate Leadership and Responsibilities


• As a member of the Group Board and senior management team, contribute to the strategic and operational agenda, with a key role in the shaping of clinical and corporate services to improve population health outcomes, reduce health inequalities and meet the priorities of the trust and its commissioners. • Provide expert advice to the Chief Executive and the Group Board relating to Digital and Information issues, in particular highlighting both potential risks and opportunities for improving patient care and safety and Group performance.
• Ensure that digital initiatives are fully integrated with annual planning processes.

Digital Transformation and Innovation
• Responsible for the development and delivery of a Group Digital Transformation vision and strategy which also promotes digital skills and digital inclusion, ensuring it is aligned with the Trust’s strategic direction.
• In collaboration with executive colleagues, drive reform and support organisational change, fostering innovation and excellence.
• Manage the ongoing development of access to data for research, maintaining the highest standards of security and confidentiality.
• Participate in national initiatives and forums to raise the profile and reputation of the Group as a digital exemplar and to influence policy and funding allocations for the benefit of the Group, its health and care partners and patients.

A Vacancy at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.


Watford General Hospital is a tertiary Gynaecological Cancer Centre supported by three Gynaecological oncology consultants. Our workload is close to 400 new cancer cases a year treated in our centre. Within the department there is extensive experience in advanced ovarian cancer surgery. We are a multi-platform robotic centre with two Versius and one daVinci platforms.

The new appointee will have adequate surgical exposure to day surgery, complex oncology surgery, and minimal access surgery including robotics. There are at least thrice weekly gynaecology oncology theatres (8 hours per session). The fellow is expected to support the three gynaecology oncology consultants with daily ward rounds, oncology and rapid access clinics, research, clinical audits and MDT meetings. Depending on the workload of the consultants, the fellow might be expected to do extra gynae theatre lists.

Our Obstetrics and Gynaecology department consists of 24 Consultants and one visiting consultant, 16 middle grade doctors (including this post), 2 FY2 doctors and 9 ST1/2 doctors. The candidate will participate in an on-call rota of 1 in 8.

This post is initially for a period of 9 months and might be extended therefore after. The post will commence as soon as possible. This is a post CCT post.

A Vacancy at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.


Watford General Hospital is a tertiary Gynaecological Cancer Centre supported by three Gynaecological oncology consultants. Our workload is close to 400 new cancer cases a year treated in our centre. Within the department there is extensive experience in advanced ovarian cancer surgery. We are a multi-platform robotic centre with two Versius and one daVinci platforms.

The new appointee will have adequate surgical exposure to day surgery, complex oncology surgery, and minimal access surgery including robotics. There are at least thrice weekly gynaecology oncology theatres (8 hours per session). The fellow is expected to support the three gynaecology oncology consultants with daily ward rounds, oncology and rapid access clinics, research, clinical audits and MDT meetings. Depending on the workload of the consultants, the fellow might be expected to do extra gynae theatre lists.

Our Obstetrics and Gynaecology department consists of 24 Consultants and one visiting consultant, 16 middle grade doctors (including this post), 2 FY2 doctors and 9 ST1/2 doctors. The candidate will participate in an on-call rota of 1 in 8.

This post is initially for a period of 9 months and might be extended therefore after. The post will commence as soon as possible.

This new position will provide a constant support to our CNS and ward staff with dedicated time for daily ward rounds. This will create cohesion within the team improving the continuous care offered to the oncology patients. They will be a key person in implementing our Enhanced Recovery Protocol.

The postholder will have dedicated time for clinical audits and research which are vital for the development of our service. He or she will prepare the cases for our weekly MDT, increasing the quality of these meetings. Discussing the new cases in a timely manner will likely help us meeting the targets.

The fellow will provide constant support in theatre, especially important in complex cases, increasing the safety of the surgical treatment offered to our patients.

With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.

OPH Clinics (not only diagnostics, but also operative).

Rapid Access Clinics for PMB on HRT as the postholder is expected to have basic scanning skill.

Follow up Oncology Clinics.

Furthermore, the postholder is expected to help with triaging, reducing cancer waiting times (CWT). Overall, this position is expected to have a bigger impact to faster diagnosis and operational performance.
