As a Lead Employer Service our key priorities are to ensure the efficient, professional and integrated ‘one stop’ service for all our stakeholders including Host Trusts and our Educational Stakeholders.
The post holder will ensure that the team is delivering a professional, efficient onboarding service to Trainees and the wider stakeholder group. You will support the delivery of a high level service to all Lead Employers stakeholders which requires excellent communication skills, efficient handling of enquiries and the provision of excellent support, guidance and advice in all aspects of recruitment. Lead Employer onboards around 4000+ trainees each year, as the OB/Employment Services Team Manager you will be responsible for overseeing this activity and providing guidance and support to the onboarding team.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience within a HR or support services environment, will be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to effectively undertaking their duties. They will also be a self-motivator and display commitment and resilience to ensure a professional and efficient service is maintained.

As part of the Lead Employer Service, the Employment Services Team Manager will manage the activities of the LE Onboarding Team, working with OB Team Leaders to plan and prioritise service delivery plans, ensuring efficient and professional delivery of the onboarding processes.
As overall service manager, the postholder will be the point of escalation from team leaders in all aspects of line management e.g. timekeeping, attendance, wellbeing support and capability/conduct and they will provide guidance to both team leaders and the wider OB team around more complex onboarding queries.

HRSERVICEDELIVERY
· Ensurethat all enquiriestothedepartmentfrom bothinternal andexternal partiesarehandledeffectively and efficiently, e.g., trainees, staff, and managers.
· Support staff in the interpretation of recruitment policies and procedures including pre-employment checks.Refer complex or highly sensitive matters to the Head of Employment Services.
· Workingwiththemanagementteamtoensureresourcesareeffectivelymanagedwithineachteamand undertake recruitment as required.
· ContributetothecontinuousimprovementintheefficiencyandeffectivenessoftheHRDirectorate.
· Working with the Head ofEmployment Services to seek customer service feedback from the service usersand make recommendations for further improvements on the pre-employment process.
· Assistusers/managersinconsideringhowtheycanoptimisetheworkforceinformationavailable.
· Maintainmonitoringsystemsincludingresponsivenessandcustomerservicestandards.
· Investigatecomplaintsabout employmentserviceswhenrequired, providingfeedbacktocomplainants, and implementing any necessary changes to aid service improvement.
· ProvideregularmanagementinformationtoManagementTeamonallaspects.
· Maximisetheperformanceof theAreaTeamsdealingwithany shortfallsandperformanceissuesthat arise as a consequence.
GOVERNANCECOMPLIANCE
· EnsureESteamsarecompliantinallareassuchaswovenreport,reconciliationreportsandprovide assurances to the ES management team.
· Ensurepaperbasedandelectronicrecordand filing systemsaremaintainedinaccordancewiththeTrust Information Governance and Record Management policies.
· Implement and monitor Trust compliance with Data protection, Freedom of Information, Equality & Diversity, Equal Opportunities, and other HR related legislation as appropriate.
· EnsureallevidenceisbeingstoredappropriatelyforNHSLA,UKBAandCQCassessments.
· Ensuredataprotectionandconfidentialityismaintained.
· Ensure all staff are recruited in line with Trust recruitment policies and procedures and ensure pre and post checks are processed. Escalate to the Head of Employment Services when appropriate.
OPERATIONSMANAGEMENT
· Monitor and control service standards within the HR Area Teams, review on an ongoing basis and putforward process improvement recommendations.
· Manage first level grievance hearings, disciplinaryinvestigationsor hearings, capability hearings, attendance management stage and level hearings, long term sickness absence consultations etc, escalating where necessary to the Head of Employment Services.
· Manage attendance management, in a timely manner undertaking return to work interviews, or for basic return to work interviews delegate to the Area Team Leader.
· Ensure stakeholders comply with recruitment and employment best practice, legislation, and contractualobligations.
· Contribute to the design and implementation of administrative policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the service.
· Highlightandreportservicerequirements,workforceresourceandworkloadimpact.
· Liaise with the Head of Employment Serviceson a regular basisto identify and plan the service to ensure the Trusts needs are met.
· EnsuretheintegrityofMedicalWorkforce,HR&Recruitmentsystemsbyaccurateandtimelyinputtingof relevant information.
