Position Summary

The Lending Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data related to lending operations within Wellby. This role plays a critical part in supporting lending decision-making, assessing risk, and optimizing lending strategies. This role will also maintain and provide reporting and data for the optimization of all areas of the lending division including Consumer, Mortgage, Indirect, Collections and Servicing

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Create, validate, manage, and automate key monitoring reports for business optimization for the Lending Division with the highest degree of accuracy as possible.

• Analyzes data, optimizes performance, identifies areas of improvement, and recommends ways to increase and generate revenues.

• Develops and maintains business solutions, which may include data, reporting, business intelligence or analytics.

• Create and maintain reports using excel. Utilize knowledge of Excel and other optimization methods to perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis.

• Responsible for concentration and trend reports, board reports, credit score migration, ad hoc, etc. from nCino and other reporting systems.

• Provide reports related to preapproval campaigns, loan participations and loan sales.

• Serve as the Point of Contact for nCino related to Lending Division Reporting.

• Provide reporting for internal and external audits and staying abreast of new lending compliance and regulations including TIL, TRID, MLA, HMDA, ECOA, FDCPA, etc.

• Maintains data integrity and creates efficiencies by automating the reporting function.

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the mortgage/consumer lending/collections business model and the competitive/benchmark landscape and recommend changes for business growth and performance.

• Manage communications with internal lending leadership team to understand their business needs, identify requirements and scope of reporting projects and needs.

• Prioritize and handle multiple projects and be able to multitask with competing deadlines from different lending leaders.

• Identify opportunities to use data to develop new strategies and improve processes.

• Keeps up to date with emerging analytics, insights and data management technologies and methodologies, and assesses their relevance to our products and strategy.

• Defining data quality by ensuring data is measured and trusted. This may include working with project teams to define data quality requirements as well as ensuring ongoing assessments of data quality. 

• Meet with business partners including lending leaders, IT, compliance, risk management, etc. for new and existing reporting for the Lending Division initiatives.

The Finance Discovery Rep Rotational Program offers graduating students the opportunity to experience corporate finance through the lens of a Fortune 100 company. Selected co-workers will move within three, three-month rotations through Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Credit, and Accounting. Role Description

FNZ Securities USA, headquartered in New York City, is a self-clearing broker-dealer which provides fully disclosed clearing and custody services to introducing broker-dealers and RIAs in the wealth management space. We are currently going through the application process with FINRA to become a licensed clearing broker-dealer and we expect to commence operations in 2024.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced Credit Risk Manager to play a critical role in establishing FNZ Securities as a key player in the market. You will be key in helping to plan for and build out the operations and credit technology, processes, and team prior to commencement of operations.

Specific Role Responsibilities

• Lead a team of credit professionals and provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

• Develop and implement credit risk policies to ensure effective risk mitigation. Assess the creditworthiness of clients, counterparties, and other potential business partners.

• Establish and maintain credit policies in compliance with industry regulations. Monitor and evaluate margin levels, ensuring they align with market conditions and regulatory requirements.

• Stay abreast of relevant financial regulations, ensuring the firm's credit and margin practices comply with local and international standards. Interact with regulatory bodies, responding to inquiries and facilitating audits.

• Work closely with 1st line of defense partners in trading, margin, and operations to ensure seamless coordination of credit risk related issues. Collaborate with technology teams to enhance and optimize credit and margin systems.

• Monitor and analyze credit exposures, identifying potential risks and recommending appropriate actions.

• Generate regular reports on credit and margin exposures for senior management.

Experience Required

• 7+ years of industry-relevant experience managing credit risk functions in a self-clearing US broker-dealer operating in the wealth management space.

• Currently holds a FINRA Series 24 license.

• Deep understanding of the US securities industry and brokerage operations with experience in StreetSide operations, custody, and clearing

• Demonstrated experience providing guidance and applying operational and credit risk principles and concepts.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with teams across functional boundaries to ensure efficiency of operations and effective risk management.

• Willingness to adapt and respond appropriately to new demands, priorities, challenges, and obstacles.

• Data driven and able to analyze metrics and trends, such as monitoring key metrics and data to evaluate performance.

• Highly effective in establishing relationships with key stakeholders.

This application is for students interested in a role within our Finance, Accounting and Credit departments.

Our program is full-time, from May 28th – August 2nd, 2024. This year, our Finance, Accounting, and Credit roles will be based in our Clearwater, FL office.

All our intern projects and goals vary based on major and department and make a valuable and measurable impact on our business. In exchange (or beyond your assigned work), you will be able to network with our top executives during our speaker series, participate in intern bonding events with your peers, job shadow other departments, and get a feel for what it’s like to join a global IT solutions aggregator.

What We’re Looking For:

• Business Majors (including, but not limited to: Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, and more)
• Students who align with our shared values: Inclusion, Collaboration, Integrity, Excellence.
• Current college student: rising juniors and above, including May 2024 graduates.
• Eligible to work in the U.S.- sponsorship is not provided.
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the entirety of the program in a hybrid setting.

Example job duties and projects include:

• Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately.
• Provide analytical support to management.
• Collaborate with different teams within the organization to support ad hoc needs of the business and finance organization.
• Provide analysis and interpretation of the customers’ financial status for proper evaluation of risk and the establishment of proper credit limits.   
• Work closely with collections staff, sales representatives and customers to acquire needed information and facilitate sales while avoiding excessive credit risk. 
• Assists in the preparation of various account analyses and reconciliations.

Prior to being eligible to start your internship, you will be subject to a background check.

Specific responsibilities

• Ensure risk is well monitored and supervised across funds, and develop expertise in our risk management processes and infrastructure
• Working closely with PMs and investment teams to ensure awareness of the current risk profile and identify tools required
• Understanding, explanation and escalation of risk and performance drivers of strategies across the group
• Escalation of relevant information to Senior Management in timely fashion, communicated clearly and concisely, to ensure transparency of key risks across strategies
• Conduct research into new risk measurement / risk management techniques, working closely with various teams (PM, Quant, Technology) on identification, project management and deployment of new tools
• Further develop the Man risk management process and broaden awareness and good risk management practices across all functions
• Closely follow market events, and pro-actively share forward thinking risk analysis with the team, senior management and PMs
• Assisting with regulatory, client and marketing requests and other duties as may be required by broader Man Group from time to time

Skills & previous experience

• Very strong academics, preferably in STEM.
• Knowledge and interest in major asset classes and portfolio risk management techniques.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Python or similar programming skills
• Experience communicating with management and investment teams
• Project management skills including time-management, liaising and working with various stakeholders
