L&Q’s Maintenance Service is looking for a Reactive Supervisor to join the in-house team. The role covers L&Q’s South East London patch. Working within Bromley, Lewisham and the surrounding area.

You will be part of a team of Supervisors who cover reactive repairs. You will be responsible for circa 10 Multi trade and Specialist Maintenance Operatives who work across the Neighbourhood. The role reports to the Maintenance Team Manager.

You will also have links to the wider business area and will liaise with the Housing Management and Caretaking teams as well as the Planning and Scheduling team, Contact Centre and other Supervisors to ensure consistency in service delivery.

We have an opening for a Consultant Anaesthetist to join our Trust.

The successful candidate will have experience of plastic, maxillofacial surgery and ophthalmic surgery, and will have an interest in peri-operative medicine and/or critical care management of major burns and head and neck surgery. Current growth areas at QVH include Head and Neck surgery, including ENT cancer treatment and limb trauma. Assessment and optimisation of patients referred through clinical network pathways will benefit from new approaches to clinical and patient data management. Role Purpose:
As a Third-Party Property Damage Claims Handler, you'll play a crucial role in our claims team, responsible for investigating and resolving third-party property damage claims. You'll utilize your expertise in liability assessments and negotiations to ensure fair and accurate settlements while maintaining excellent customer service.



Job Details

• Investigate and assess third-party property damage claims, gathering relevant information and evidence.
• Liaise with external parties, such as claimants, solicitors, and other insurance companies, to negotiate and settle claims.
• Analyse policy documentation to determine coverage and applicability.
• Evaluate liability and quantum to determine accurate settlement amounts.
• Manage a caseload of claims while ensuring adherence to company guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather insights and share knowledge for continuous improvement.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records of claims activities using the company's systems.

Skills we would love you to have

• Prior experience in liability investigations and negotiations, ideally within an insurance or legal context.
• Strong analytical skills to assess claims and determine liability and settlement amounts.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with the capability to engage with external stakeholders professionally and empathetically.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple claims simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

As a Credit Hire handler , you'll be responsible for managing credit hire and repair claims with a value of up to £10k. Your role will involve managing a portfolio of newly reported fault claims and ensuring they are managed in line with our business expectations. You will be responsible for managing and controlling hire spends through robust negotiation, investigation, and provision of services.

As part of this exciting role, you'll be responsible for protecting the company against credit hire claims by using third party interviews, credit hire evidence gathering, and challenging inbound hire and repair invoices.

You'll also be responsible for servicing inbound phone calls from Customers/Garages/ Third Party representatives and other suppliers.



Job Details

• Managing a workload of hire/repair claims from notification through to settlement, including the provision of services and challenging the need for a vehicle where required
  
• Making correct and timely liability and indemnity decisions
  
• Minimising the financial exposure to incoming credit hire and repair claims through investigation and negotiation skills
  
• Protecting the company against credit hire claims by gathering evidence, utilising case law and other resources to achieve the best possible outcome in line with business strategy
  
• Servicing inbound calls from third parties, customers, garages, representative and other suppliers
  
• Meeting monthly targets and responsible for ensuring hire spend across the claims department is reduced
  
• Ownership of any complaints with a focus on providing a resolution on day one
