About the role

The Associate Director will be a key leader within the Corporate Reputation (CPR) and Public Affairs (PA) team at Ipsos Singapore. This role involves managing a diverse portfolio of public and private sector client projects, overseeing a team of researchers, and ensuring successful project execution. The Associate Director must possess a deep understanding of research methodologies and the ability to translate data into actionable insights for clients.

What you will do

1. Team & Project Management:

• Lead and manage a team of researchers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in their professional development. This includes conducting performance reviews and creating development plans in collaboration with the business area Director.
• Oversee the execution of both CPR and PA projects, ensuring timely delivery, high-quality outputs, and client satisfaction.
• Direct complex, high-value projects, demonstrating advanced research skills and knowledge.
• Take ownership of project profitability and manage budgets effectively.
• Proactively resolve project-related issues and ensure the team operates efficiently.

2. Client Engagement & Business Development:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and identifying opportunities for repeat business.
• Actively participate in business development initiatives, contributing to the growth of the CPR and PA business unit.
• Collaborate with the business area Director to develop and implement client development plans.
• Represent Ipsos as a brand ambassador, showcasing the company's expertise and values to clients.

3. Research & Insights:

• Design and implement research projects utilizing advanced qualitative and quantitative techniques.
• Analyze research data to generate meaningful insights that address client challenges and inform their decision-making.
• Deliver compelling presentations and workshops to clients, effectively communicating research findings and recommendations.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in corporate reputation, public affairs, and market research.

• Substantial experience in managing research projects and teams, ideally within a consultancy or agency environment.

The Executive Director will serve as a regional leader of integrated communications, proactively enhancing and protecting the reputation of the Disney Experiences APAC business. Overseeing the corporate communications function covering external communications, public relations, public affairs, and internal and executive communications across the Disney Experiences business.

Disney Consumer Products, (DCP) is the division of Disney Experiences that brings beloved brands and franchises into the daily lives of families and fans through products – from toys to t-shirts, apps, books, console games and more – and experiences that can be found around the world, including on the disneystore.com e-commerce platform and at Disney Parks, local and international retailers, as well as Disney store locations globally. The business is home to world-class teams of product, licensing and retail experts, artists and storytellers, and technologists who inspire imaginations around the world.

Since launching in 1998, Disney Cruise Line has established itself as a leader in the cruise industry, providing a setting where families can reconnect, adults can recharge and children can experience all Disney has to offer. Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic and integrated communication plans to protect and enhance the reputation of the Disney Experiences business and drive the business objectives of both the DCP and DCL businesses in the region.
• Develop and execute the Executive and Internal Communications functions across DCP and DCL.
• Proactively identify/mitigate emerging issues using an integrated approach that considers all aspects of communications.
• Develop, educate and enhance relationships with key media stakeholders across the APAC region to support business objectives.
• Develop and enhance relationships with key stakeholders and partners, both externally and internally.
• Work hand in hand with Corp Comms in APAC to integrate APAC Disney Experiences into the TWDC narrative.
• Work hand in hand with Corp Comms in APAC to drive CSR programs that enhance the Disney Experiences business and garner staff engagement.
• Develop and execute efforts to maximize social media and online tools to drive and support the effective communications of key business messages.
• Lead the APAC DCP Comms team, including SEA comms lead in implementing internal and external communications, public affairs and media relations plans for key markets.
• Lead and work hand in hand with the regional Corp Comms team in implementing CPGP communications, public affairs and media relations plans for key markets.
• Build and lead an APAC DCL Comms team across Public Affairs, Internal and Executive Comms, Public Relations, and Events to implement internal and external communications, public affairs, and media relations plans for key markets.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Public Affairs, Communications, Journalism, Government, Broadcast Communications or other relevant areas.
• Preferred MBA degree or equivalent
• Experience with Asia Pacific markets, with strong knowledge of the media and consumer landscape.
• 15+ years of media relations experience dealing with leading brands, high-profile government work or agency experience.
• Proven regional leader with the ability to manage virtual teams across markets and regions
• Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.
• Issues and crisis communications experience.
• Demonstrated creative thinking and strong project management skills.
• Flexibility, resourcefulness and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Director Public Affairs Japan is responsible for leading the Public Affairs function in Japan. This is a high-profile position, supporting Pfizer Japan’s business leaders as well as C-suite executives. The role will provide strategic public affairs and policy leadership in Japan, promoting an environment that will enable the growth and vitality of Pfizer Japan’s business and reputational interests in Japan.

The role is responsible for setting objectives, mobilizing public affairs capabilities and executing strategies to shape external change for Japan, delivering structured advocacy with relevant government leaders and stakeholders.

The role will represent Pfizer in external forums and will direct, coordinate and execute all Pfizer’s external lobbying activities. The role leads a dedicated team of professionals, ensuring Pfizer continues to attract, develop, and retain highly qualified talent.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborating with Japanese and Corporate leadership, the role sets the priorities for Pfizer’s activities to ensure alignment with business objectives, achieve focus and results, and leads Pfizer’s external footprint in Japan.

The role develops and executes a differentiated public affairs strategy that will protect and advance Pfizer’s interests, reputation and commercial objectives to meet Pfizer’s business goals in Japan and create greater visibility and give Pfizer a prominent voice with policymakers.

The role represents and ensures that Pfizer plays a leadership role in key trade and business

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires the integration of government relations, public affairs, and policy expertise to develop effective strategies that support Pfizer’s business and reputation priorities. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in several of these areas with the capability of quickly acquiring knowledge in others.

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in Japanese public policy, government relations, public/corporate affairs/ legal affairs, with ideally minimum 10 years’ experience in health care.

The incumbent is expected to govern cybersecurity and information security strategy planning, related program and project delivery, incident management etc. The coverage will span a list of subsidiary entities under the SMBC Group’s Multi-Franchise strategy, and these entities are supervised by SMBC Asia Growing Markets Department (AGMD).

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for executing and maintaining the cybersecurity governance policies, framework, and processes with reference to applicable regulations and internal policies, for the list of entities supervised by AGMD. This responsibility covers areas such as cybersecurity program and project delivery, compliance to regulations and standards, cybersecurity assessment and incident management, security KRIs etc.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders in each entity to develop and update cybersecurity policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards.
• Ensure compliance with relevant and applicable cybersecurity regulations and standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and NIST and track changes in the regulatory landscape.
• Coordinate and participate in cybersecurity alerts, assessments and audits, for the list of entities, to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and recommend improvements.
• Support Group-wide Security Operations Centres, in defining incident response plans for the list of entities, including disseminating security alerts, escalating security incidents, and tracking all tasks for execution and closure. Through this participation, conduct thorough cybersecurity risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential threats, vulnerabilities, impact on organizational assets, recovery from cybersecurity incidents etc.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified vulnerabilities and reduce the overall cybersecurity risk posture.
• Define and track key cybersecurity metrics to measure the effectiveness of risk management activities and prepare regular reports for senior management.
• Implement continuous monitoring processes to proactively identify and address emerging cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent with a min. 12 years of working experience with good knowledge and experience of cybersecurity and information security risk management, preferably within the Financial Services sector.
• Solid information technology and security knowledge of relevant financial services regulations and policies of Singapore and Asia region.
• Experience in Cybersecurity and Information Security Governance Reviews, Controls Testing and Assurance.
• Good understanding of the overall cybersecurity operational processes in the financial services industry.
• Proven ability to understand, identify, analyze, and communicate the operational risks within processes, in a structured and logical approach.
• Proven experience in applying legal/regulatory guidance into solving practical problems.
• Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to demonstrate sound judgement.
