ROLE OVERVIEW
Your role will form part of a central Group Marketing and Growth team. The purpose of this team is to deliver a market-leading New Business and Marketing approach that best showcases our agencies and delivers growth across the group. Your role will work as part of a squad, with focus on a designated agency within the Group.
Working closely with the Associate Director of Marketing and Growth and GroupM’s Head of Marketing and Growth. You will be responsible for supporting the marketing of your designated agency, to help ensure our current staff and clients feel proud to work with the agency and are passionate advocates for the brand. There will be a focus on internal comms, events, product, and employee experience, working closely with the people team.
You will also support the new business function across your designated agency following best practice in pitch management and responses, as set by the Associate Director of Marketing and Growth. You will directly support the execution of agency pitches, ensuring the very best pitch response for the agency.
We seek sustainable growth through a new business pipeline of clients we want to work with, and who re-enforce our culture. New business is a key metric in how we judge ourselves, success in this area drives awards and PR, which in turn drives market perception and ongoing success.
This is an exciting role working within a core team within the leading media agency Group across Australia and New Zealand.
KEY STAKEHOLDERS
The role reports into the agency Associate Director of Marketing and Growth.
You will also work in direct collaboration with the Group Head of Marketing and Growth, as well as the Design team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
New Business Operations
Support in writing RFP responses that showcase your designated agency in the best light and ensure we have the best opportunity to win new business.
Ensure all agency pitches follow best practice project management process (including approaches, filing, etc.) for your agency.
Ensure up to date agency credentials and marketing collateral that includes original ways to express our culture and USPs.
Support the development and management of prospecting list, and management of targeting and application.
Support all pitch theatre and pitch collateral.
Ensure all pitch costs are tracked and held to budget.
Support the Associate Director of Growth and Marketing in external reporting. (RECMA and COMvergence).
Support the Associate Director of Growth and Marketing in ensuring all new business reporting to local, regional, and global leadership as required.
Marketing & Communications
Support the development and delivery of the annual Agency Marketing Plan that enhances the agency’s reputation and aligns to New Business.
The plan should cover all external and internal marketing initiatives, as well as a core content calendar for social media platforms.
As part of the plan, this role will include implementation of social media content calendar, including engagement.
Develop and lead a national content creation calendar with the support of Associate Director, Growth and Marketing.
Help maintain a marketing budget that includes allowance for all marketing efforts throughout the year. You will be responsible for budget tracking, ensuring delivery within this budget following the invoice process
Support leadership and the business with internal comms plans.
Actively support all agency and branded events.
Support in the development of press release writing.
Reporting of press clippings, following the prescribed process.
Support the execution of the agency’s award strategy (work, people, and culture) across your agency as outlined by the Associate Director, Growth and Marketing.
Responsible for collation and filing of all national press clippings, client testimonials, award wins and submissions, case studies
REQUIRED CAPABILITIES
Strong written and verbal skills – in particular persuasive writing skills (RFPs, award writing, pitch collateral, social posts, press releases).
Excellent operational discipline to run a process, work independently and deliver quality work.
Accuracy and attention to detail is critical.
Comfortable with managing multiple stakeholders, including C-suite level and multiple agency brands (each with unique needs and priorities).
Flexibility to work extra hours on urgent projects as required.
Excellent interpersonal skills and style.
Proactive approach and a ‘positive can-do’ attitude, especially during challenging circumstances.

Agency experience – 1+ years
Industry experience – 2+ years
