To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Operations Trainer B shift located in Buffalo Grove IL.

Reporting to the Operations Training Manager. The Operations Trainer involves supporting the quality department through creating, improving, and implementing training processes following industry standards, lean tools and innovative methods to facilitate the accomplishment of operational skills in employees, creating and assessing standard work instructions in the production area, coaching, assisting and training the employees in their job responsibilities.

Shift B: 6:00pm-6:00am

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Follow On boarding process for DL employee
• Deliver on-the-job training for DL on the floor
• Certify and/or re-certify the operator professional competence
• Develop technical materials and conduct specialized training sessions
• Identify and Implement improvements on training process
• Functions as liaison between managers, leads, core, and contract associates on various issues including training needs requirements.
• Update individual employee training tracking as necessary.
• Validate training effectiveness through the audit and certification process. 
• Train and coach the employees in the Trainer/Operator position to ensure confidence and success for Flex. 
• Provide support and documentation expertise to CPI/CFT events and initiatives (edit standard work documentation, oversee training/retraining, and provide suggestions on what training tools would be most effective) as necessary.
• Conduct high quality, calibrated training across all sites. 
• Partner in safety and quality training within the site.
• Develop themselves and others to support organizational readiness.
• Act as a liaison for “Best Practice” communication across the sites.
• Update area Training Boards on a weekly basis with pertinent information (Weekly Trainer schedules, updates, etc).
• Ability to manage projects and work in a cross functional team.
• Identify and certify trainers across functional team
• Provide line support to other factories as needed
• Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by the department.

Job Description

Ares is seeking a Kitchen Attendant for our Corporate Services team in New York.

Corporate Services provides best-in-class support for all office operations and employee amenities within our new 6 floor, Class A office in midtown Manhattan.

The successful candidate will exhibit a strong work ethic, timeliness and the ability to be flexible and prioritize needs across pantries/kitchens. This role is focused on dishwashing within a corporate environment.  The role is highly mobile and requires a candidate who is hardworking and focused on delivering a clean space.  The successful candidate will have experience in food service, washing dishes, and cleaning, preferably with some experience in an office environment.

Primary Functions & Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Washing dishes across 6 floors, in multiple pantries continuously throughout the day
• Loading and unloading dishwashers and ensuring that pantries are organized, with all dishware sorted properly.
• Evaluating whether one pantry requires more dishware and shifting dishes as needed between pantries.
• Keeping track of overall dish count and reporting when additional stock is needed.
• Checking cleanliness of pantries, wiping down counters and equipment as needed.
• Monthly cleaning of appliances.
• Weekly cleaning of dishware and snack cupboards/storage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish storage areas (drawers and cabinets)
• Requires moderate physical effort and reaching above shoulder and below knee.
• Helps load and unload supplies as required.

Qualifications

Education:

• Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required.

Experience:

• Knowledge/experience with proper dishwashing procedures and experience cleaning.
• 1-2 years of Food Services or Corporate Services (Hospitality/Professional Services) ideal.

General Requirements:

• Dependable, great attitude, highly motivated and a team player
• Exceptional customer service skills and demonstrates enthusiasm and flexibility
• Highly motivated work ethic, with timely and consistent attendance

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

• Assisting the Experiential team with the following:

  • All aspects of custom event production, included but not limited to: design, production, logistics, research/sourcing, content, budgeting, legal, marketing, etc.

  • On event advances with venues and vendors with spreadsheets and updates

  • Communicating, planning, and executing information to internal departments and vendors

  • Advancing orders and details with external vendors i.e. catering, rentals, florals, AV, etc.

• Create, update, and maintain event related documents such as: production books and tracking documents, event & venue decks, program budgets, run of shows, contact sheets, staff manuals, safety plans, floor plans, etc.

• Prepare onsite assets such as parking passes, credential packets, catering packets, etc.

• Maintain, organize, and reconcile pre and post-event settlements such as: expenses and receipts

• Order and track the replenishment of supplies, as directed

• Develop and execute research projects included but not limited to any upcoming event projects, design decks, new vendors, new technologies etc.

• Other duties and projects as assigned

• On-site assistance as assigned

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

• Must be a current student enrolled in a Bachelor's/Master's program at an accredited college or university or a recent graduate

Restaurant Manager (Restaurant Management)

Shake Shack is a modern day "roadside" burger stand serving deliciously classic burgers, fries, hot dogs, frozen custard, beer, wine, and more. With our fresh, simple, high-quality food at a great value, Shake Shack is a fun and lively community-gathering place unlike any other. As we experience tremendous growth, our leaders are the driving force to our continued success. We are seeking a positive and enthusiastic Restaurant Manager who loves to serve! This is an excellent opportunity for a leader with 2 – 3 years of restaurant management experience.

If work-life balance is your thing, we offer a 40-hour work week during our 8-week manager training program. Post-training, our management team works at least 40 hours and up to 50 hours, as the needs of the Shack dictates.

Qualifications:

• 2 – 3 years of Restaurant Management experience in a high volume, fast-paced restaurant environment
• Food handler certification, strongly preferred
• Ability to learn and train others on all aspects of the Shack operations
• Ability to drive hospitality and inspire others to do so
• Must exhibit an aptitude for leading, coaching, and driving excellence at every level
• Understanding of financial aspects of business operations

Responsibilities:

• Upholding our standards of excellence and hospitality
• Leading your team
• Managing all functions on our daily checklist
• Handling payroll and scheduling
• Focusing attention on team development
• Overseeing inventory, quality and safety
• Managing the facility
• Leading and developing community relations

About Us

Beginning as a hot dog cart in New York City’s Madison Square Park, Shake Shack was created by Danny Meyer, Founder and CEO of Union Square Hospitality Group and best-selling author of Setting the Table. Shack Fans lined up daily, making the cart a resounding success, and donating all proceeds back to the park beautification efforts.  A permanent stand was eventually built…and the rest is Shack history!
