Your role involves skilful preparation of complex Japanese dishes and specialities specific to the regional theme of the establishment and its menus. You will be responsible for a series of kitchen operational duties commensurate with job role, and also be engaged in training and supervising of Commi-Chefs and other junior kitchen staff.

To qualify for selection you must have the following minimum requirements: -

• Eligibility to live and work in UK
• Experience in the preparation of authentic high quality Japanese cuisine
• Technical knowledge of ingredient quality, sourcing, measuring & formulation
• Previous experience of at least 3 years in this role + min 3 years of prior experience in escalating job roles

The kitchen porter will follow cleaning schedules, which includes the cleaning of large catering equipment; provide an efficient pot wash service and carry out general kitchen porter duties, like running dish machines and cleaning up spills. The post holder will be required to operate mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment.

Periodically undertakes tasks in basic food preparation, storage, covering of food and loading and packing food to be transported to the ward kitchens/areas as directed by the kitchen manager/chefs.
