SUMMARY:  

The Food Scientist is responsible for developing and commercializing new and improved products and/or processes with direction from their manager.  This covers all stages of product development and process development including writing new product specifications, and ensuring regulatory labeling and food safety requirements are met.  Additional responsibilities include developing samples/prototypes of new products, modifying existing products, optimizing existing products, developing specifications for product production labeling, and compiling cost analysis information.    Essential duties include working with and influencing marketing, insights, sales, culinary, FSQA, operations and purchasing departments, coordinating with suppliers of ingredients, ensuring smooth start‐up for new product production processes.  This person will take on and complete special projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• EDUCATION: B.S. or M.S. in Food Science, Meat Science, Food Engineering or related field.  No degree with minimum of 6 years relevant experience.
• EXPERIENCE: M.S. with no experience. B.S with minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.  No degree with minimum of 6 years relevant experience.
• COMPUTER SKILLS: Requires good computer skills with ability to fully utilize MS Office products and Tyson systems (or like systems).
• COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Good verbal and written communication skills required. Presentation skills required.  Must have the ability to effectively communicate with cross functional business partners.

SUMMARY:

The Associate Director Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) position is responsible for ensuring products and processes meet the highest standards of compliance for food safety and quality within Tyson Facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with Plant FSQA managers to ensure FSQA policies and procedures are adhered to and to lend technical expertise when needed
• Investigate product complaints to determine cause and help determine solutions and interface directly with the customer
• Direct the continued development and implementation of new programs and/or procedures at individual plant locations
• Interacting with appropriate governmental regulatory agencies such as USDA and FSIS.
• Collaborate with appropriate departments within Tyson Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Research and Development, and Scheduling and internal/external customers on quality and food safety related issues
• Update, develop and maintain corporate FSQA programs and procedures
• FSQA training and development
• Conduct plant audits reviews to provide overview of plant systems associated with regulatory food safety and product quality concerns; data review and analysis
• Other responsibilities as they are assigned or as the need arises.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical or science related field OR equivalent experience in food safety and quality assurance
• Experience: 8 plus years of food safety quality assurance operations experience
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite, experience with ERP/SAP, product specification management, product develop applications
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Supervisory: Position will have direct reports at multiple locations
• Travel: Extensive travel to the location in which this role supports. Minimum 12 trips per year.

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

Under site designate leader, and according to established policies and procedures performs accurate and efficient Mammography exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.  Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation.  Always follows Beaumont philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

Performs quality Mammography and Breast Imaging Ultrasound exams after verification of patient identification, physician order and correct exam charge in EPIC.

Demonstrates ability to proficiently operate Mammography and Ultrasound imaging equipment. Obtain the highest quality images by using the appropriate techniques for patient positioning for screening, tomography, and diagnostic exams, invasive mammography procedures and breast ultrasound imaging. Monitors patients during procedures to ensure patient safety. Maintains and pursues professional development per ARRT and/or ARMDS requirements. Knowledge with hospital computer site software systems for charging, viewing schedules and PACS for sending information both accurately and efficiently. Provides effective inter/intra-departmental communication and participation with medical staff, management, technical and support staff. Provide procedural information/education to the patient/family prior to each exam. Clean and restock exam rooms, storerooms, and monitor department cleanliness.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS

REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform machinery and equipment examinations to troubleshoot for defects/visual wear in operation.

Job Title: B Shift Picking / Fulfillment Lead

Reports to:  Department Supervisor

The Role

The purpose of a Distribution Lead is to oversee the daily productivity of the assigned department. This position will be responsible for the daily and/or hourly delegation of tasking associates, pulling and reading reports regarding incoming waves, ensuring the department headcount is sufficient to properly complete the estimated production for the shift, tracking associate performance, and properly communicate any issues to other Leads or Management. 

A department Lead is responsible for productivity tasks and to keep a steady workflow within the department and dependent Fulfillment departments. It is expected that a Department Lead show exemplary patience when issues occur and be comfortable in providing crucial conversations and coaching associates regarding productivity or behavior issues as needed. It is expected that a Department Lead demonstrates a professional demeanor and treats associates with fairness. A Department Lead is expected to be able to read, write, and speak English as you will be expected to send written as well as verbal communications to other Leads, Supervisors, Managers, etc.

Overview
The office assistant works under the direct supervision of the office manager. Primary responsibilities include insurance eligibility, patient registration and reconciliation within the patient registration software, properly entering patient demographics, as well as greeting patients while answering the phone lines. Also responsible for taking appropriate phone messages, scheduling appointments, creating referrals, completing chart prep, providing information to and for the patients, maintenance and upkeep of the reception area, distributing mail and assisting other employees as needed. The office assistant also identifies, corrects, and reports compliance, insurance, and billing anomalies as they are recognized.

What you will do

• Ensures all patients' registration and demographics information is correct and updated as needed. Monitors daily schedule, schedules/reschedules appointments when necessary, i.e. doctor’s illness, meetings, or vacation. Obtains referrals and insurance information. Completes clerical chart prep, prepares and prints visit summaries, receipts and other related documents. Reports any potential compliance concerns to the appropriate person.
• Recommends to office manager any process improvements needed to improve quality of service. Maintains appearance and cleanliness of the reception area. Actively engages in team huddles and staff meetings.
• Promotes the daily workflow. Preps charts in advance of visit. Greets all participants to the practice with immediate acknowledgment with eye contact and smile. Check-in process and demographic updates done in timely manner. Manages patient expectations with clear explanations. Uses good telephone technique including 4 part greeting and 3 rings or less guideline. Observes transfer and on-hold techniques.

• Team members will have a minimum scheduling commitment of 24 hours per week. Shifts available on the Middle Peninsula with the ability to float to different Riverside Physician Practices.

• Demonstrate the ability to provide consistent, high quality meal service to all retail customers. Demonstrate knowledge and ability to set-up, replenish, and break-down service lines/stations following established Department policies and procedures. Demonstrate the competence to complete prep work including, but not limited to slicing lunch meat, chopping fruits & vegetables, preparing salads and sandwiches, short order grill cook, specialty pizza prep, handcrafted specialty coffee/tea hot and cold beverages, etc. Serve in Retail locations demonstrating competence in food presentation, proper portion control, and plating techniques.
• Demonstrate the ability to operate various kitchen equipment. Demonstrate the competency to properly clean and sanitize equipment. Maintain overall cleanliness of food preparation, service and customer retail areas.
• Maintain a working knowledge of food safety, infection control and sanitation regulatory compliance requirements and Food & Nutrition Services policies & procedures and consistently comply with temperature, quality, sanitation & storage at all key steps in the process. Follow First-in/First Out food storage and labels and date all products according to Food & Nutrition Service policy and alerts management of any discrepancies to the norm.

• High School Diploma or GED, (Required)

• 1 year Food Service experience in retail and/or food preparation (Preferred)

• Allergen Awareness Certification - VA State - ANSI-approved Allergen Awareness certificate program within 180 Days(Required)

The Cook assembles patient meal trays according to specified diet orders. You will be responsible for set up, breakdown, and sanitation of food and non-food items for Methodist Food Services. The Cook will prepare hot food items for patients, employee and visitor meals while preparing consistent, high quality meals to patients, facility staff, family members, visitors and catering events while adhering to infection control standards, safety standards and food handling principles.
