We are currently looking for a Water Hygiene Technician. As the Water Hygiene Technician, you will be centrally located in the geographical area covered by the role (Scotland & Northern England) within the Four Seasons Health Care Group.

As a Water Hygiene Technician, you will:
-Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with the Maintenance Person (MP) and the Care Home staff at all times.
-Attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments.
-Work with FSHC Group colleagues to ensure laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times.
-All TMV's should be checked annually* to ensure they fail safe if the cold water supply is interrupted.
-Inspect, clean, descale, and disinfect and strainers and/ or filters associated with the TMV's
-Ensure correct paperwork is completed during site visits and all faults reported to the Property Manager (PM)/ your line manager within 24 hrs.
-Undertake an audit of the Property Services Water Safety Management folder and advise the MP/ PM if any issues are found
-Checks to include;
-monthly tap temperature checks undertaken by MP's
-The operation of drinking fountains (change filters when required and sanitise unit).
-Ensure compliance with water regulations are adhered to, reporting all non-compliance.
Selection Criteria:
-Location - Centrally located in the geographical area covered by the role (Scotland & Northern England)
-Experience - must have significant experience of TMV maintenance and general plumbing skills - current Legionella/ Water Hygiene training and qualifications in line with HSG275 and City & Guilds ACOP L8 are preferable.
-Must be flexible and willing to work throughout the area including staying away overnight if required to do so.
-The nature of the role requires the successful applicant to be physically able to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
-The successful applicant must have good communication skills, be customer focused with a helpful and friendly manner and be self - motivated (able to work under your own initiative).
-A current driving license
-Special Requirement - everyone working in a care home MUST be double vaccinated against C19 and maintain that vaccination as advised. You cannot be considered for this role unless you are able to provide evidence of your vaccination status and are willing to maintain that vaccination as and when advised.
