Contract Type: Locum Ongoing contract
Pay Rate: £25 per hour (assignment rate)

Duties of the Occupational Therapist:
• Conduct thorough assessments of elderly patients to determine their functional abilities, physical and cognitive impairments, and environmental factors affecting their independence.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and goals in collaboration with patients and their families, focusing on maximizing their independence and overall well-being.
• Implement a range of occupational therapy interventions, including mobility training, adaptive equipment provision, cognitive rehabilitation, and psychosocial support.
• Facilitate rehabilitation and recovery by assisting patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Evaluate the home and community environments to ensure safety and accessibility for elderly patients, making necessary recommendations for modifications and adaptations.
• Provide education to patients and their families on strategies for managing and coping with conditions related to aging and disability.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, nurses, doctors, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and patient-centered care.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
• Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
• Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
• Recent NHS experience
• Registered with the HCPC
