More detail about the role: An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Secretary/Administrator to join the team at the Centre for Womens Health. Based on the main Royal Devon and Exeter Wonford site, the post holder will join an established team to provide comprehensive Secretarial/Administration support to three of our Consultant Gynaecologist/Obstetricians. The post holder will have a range of secretarial and administrative experience, ideally in a Healthcare environment; however, we welcome applicants from other sectors who feel they have relevant transferable skills. Working in a busy and sometimes demanding job, within a supportive team, they must be a good team player and enjoy working within a Multidisciplinary team. More detail about the role The post can be full or part time, as desired, and will be based in both Primary and Secondary Care in Exeter and Barnstaple under supervision. This role can be based in either Barnstaple or Exeter with the option to work one day at the other base. Additional attachments and/or projects may also be arranged at other specialist centres and teaching hospitals within the region. The team have excellent external professional networks, and regularly collaborate with the regional Sedation Network, Managed Clinical Networks (Special Care Dentistry, Paediatrics and Urgent Care) and Dental Public Health, South West Cleft Service, Bristol and London teaching hospitals. RDUH Salaried Dental Service provides dental care services to all the patient groups accessing the Salaried Dental Service. Treatment modalities include non-pharmacological behaviour management techniques, acupuncture, conscious sedation and treatment with general anaesthetic. The Specialist Learning Disability Service is a specialist County-wide service consisting of Learning disability nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and Support Assistants who offer a range of services for children and adolescents with a diagnosed Learning Disability, from assessment and intervention to consultation, liaison and training for other agencies. The service can support Children and Adolescents with a moderate to profound Learning Disability, in conjunction with complex behavioural, Health or Sleep issues related to this diagnosis. Leadership and Supervision Provide countywide professional supervision and guidance to non-AMHP qualified staff and students in relation to the Mental Health Act and associated legal frameworks. Provide on the job training, coaching and mentoring of all Trainee AMHPs which may include undertaking direct observations of practice. Co-work and coach less experienced workers on cases so they can benefit from the greater experience and expertise of an AMHP. Contribute to AMHP associated operational developments within the AMHP Service and partners in line with the expectations of the National AMHP Workforce Strategy (2019), the National AMHP Service Standards (2020) and the aims of the Review of the Mental Health Act (2018).
