The successful applicant is expected to:
• Attend and participate in governance meetings such as clinical risk, audit, Paediatric M&M, Obstetric and Joint neonatal meeting in addition to the weekly paediatric teaching meetings (Grand round, radiology meeting, and weekly departmental teaching and simulation). You would also be supporting the training of medical students and junior doctors.
• To work as part of the medical, nursing and Divisional team to maintain and improve the health and clinical care to local children and young people
• To work collaboratively with Primary care colleagues and other specialties including maternity, radiology, anaesthetics, paediatric surgery, emergency medicine and adult neurology among other adult medicine subspecialties .
• To work as part of the broader team and in collaboration with children’s services and the police to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people.
• To contribute to the delivery of services which are financially responsible and efficient.

JOB PURPOSE Provide high quality community specialist palliative care nursing services to patients and their families within the boroughs that the hospice serves Working as an integrated team of nurses, you will contribute to the overall care of patient and families referred to St Josephs within the community setting. Specialising in the advisory and Care Coordinator component of this support you will have shared clinical responsibility for the patients within a defined area and within the team as a whole As a team member you will contribute to a positive supportive working environment with an emphasis on team work and cooperation. BACKGROUND INFORMATION St. Josephs Hospice is a charity established in 1905 by the Religious Sisters of Charity to offer patients diagnosed with a life limiting illness a range of care and professional advisory services. It currently provides high quality palliative and end of life care to a significant and growing number of people living in East London and beyond. It employs a large team of clinical staff, including medical practitioners who work across community, in-patient and out-patient services delivering individualised, responsive and holistic support to patients and their families/carers. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS You will work closely with a range of professionals within the hospice and external partners to identify and support expert care to patients and their families within the boroughs. You will be expected to build close and effective working relationships with professionals providing end of life care within the boroughs. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership and managerial The Clinical Nurse Specialist will oversee the community nursing service for a defined area, this included delegating tasks to and coordinating the work of the Band 6 Associated Nurse Specialist to ensure all patients in your area review timely intervention, this includes the provision of face to face visits. Assist the Head of Community Palliative Care with translating service strategy into effective operational functionality and objectives Provide professional and clinical nursing leadership to other Palliative Care Nurse Practitioners and grades of staff, acting as a point of expertise, providing advice and support, this include providing management and clinical supervision. To implement care based on research and from any post registration course undertaken. To develop competency in wounds care. The administration of drugs should be undertaken in line with Trust Policies and Procedures and in following the NMC Guidelines for administration of Medicines Act 1992 and Misuse of Drugs Act 1991. ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure patient records are kept up to date and accurate and recording is done in line with Trust policies and procedures TEACHING & TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES To support the development of junior staff through clinical supervision and mentoring. To attend mandatory training, including Safeguarding training according to Trust and local policy. To demonstrate a commitment to personal continuing education. LINE MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES To act as preceptor /mentor to new members of staff, facilitating the achievement of their competencies throughout their preceptorship/orientation period in close collaboration with the ward manager and the nursing team. To act as mentor to pre-registration nurses and other students/visitors to the ward ensuring that support and instruction is provided as appropriate. RESEARCH & AUDIT To participate in any research undertaken in the unit. To actively assist in the Departments Audit Programme

Beauty Merchandiser – Flexible

Updating and re-sequencing make up stands in major high street retailers, working with leading brands such as L’Oréal Paris, Nyx Professional Make Up, Max Factor, Rimmel and Maybelline.

Momentum Instore have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Beauty Merchandiser on a flexible basis, working 8-hour days Monday to Friday as and when we have projects (2025).

We have a busy 6 weeks from the start of January 2025 (schedules of work to be given in December) and are looking for key people in your location. Paid training days will take place in December and paid before Christmas.

Work throughout 2025 on a project-by-project basis.

Role and Responsibilities


Visiting retailers and using detailed planograms to update the stand (attention to detail)
Moving and installing new parts around and resequencing stock according to a new planogram
Changing over the visuals/graphics
Maintaining the stand, keeping it looking fresh for customers that visit the store
Travelling to your depot* for kit collection, which is paid time.


What will I get in return?


Training: Provided in full and you are paid – This will be in December and paid before Christmas
Work: Assignment basis, under own supervision



Travel: Regionally, 50 to 80 miles of your home
Location: Field Based – working in various high street retailers
Hours: 8 hr days
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour plus expenses (fuel/parking etc.)
Equipment: Uniform, Company van (for business use only), and PPE are all provided where applicable
Flexibility: Work when you are available on a variety of projects
