An Introduction to the EMHP Programme at UEA The EMHP Programme at UEA uses blended learning, comprised of face-to-face teaching at UEA and online teaching, self-directed study days and supervised practice within employing MHSTs to allow trainees to develop the required clinical competence and confidence relevant to the role of an EMHP. Our team have extensive experience of working psychologically with children and young people across a range of settings and interventions. The teaching team includes lecturers with experience of delivering low intensity mental health interventions - who can use their experience to support, model and teach these skills positively alongside those with expertise in the field of children and young peoples mental health and education. We also use a range of external Associate Tutors and Guest lecturers to support teaching. Throughout the year are a range of assessments and assignments to demonstrate learning outcomes and assess clinical skills and competency. In addition to learning the theory and practice for delivering evidence-based low intensity assessments and treatments for children and young people, taught modules will cover how to work in, understand the processes of, and engage with education settings. This is afull-time training programme which requires the successful completion of each of the 6 modules outlined below, as well as a portfolio evidencing clinical practice competencies Module 1 Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Settings: Context and Values Module 2 Assessment & Engagement Module 3 Evidence-based Interventions for Common Mental Health Problems with Children and Young People (Theory and Skills) Module 4 Working, Assessing and Engaging in Educational Settings Module 5 Common Problems and Processes in Educational Settings Module 6 Interventions for Emerging Mental Health Difficulties in Educational Settings On successful completion of the course, trainees will qualify as an Educational Mental Health Practitioner with a Diploma / PG Diploma (120 credits). Key Dates and Attendance There are 70 teaching days across the calendar year with some intensive teaching blocks early in the course. These include cross modular/induction activities and top up/review sessions. Employment with NELFT will begin on Tuesday 2nd January, where you will start a 2 week induction. You will be trained with the knowledge and skills to optimise patients’ use of medicines:
• In the dispensary to dispense medication, receive and validate prescriptions, communicate with patients and healthcare professionals, manage pharmacy stock of medicines, including controlled drugs.
• In the ward setting: Work as part of a multi-professional team to check patient’s own drugs and supply medications for individuals, take drug histories, undertake medicines reconciliation, counsel patients on the use of their medicines as required under supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician.

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.

All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.

You will study for the Level 4 Certificate of Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice (or equivalent programme mapped to the GPhC Initial Education and Training Standards for Pharmacy Technicians) which is a blended learning programme, delivered by a training provider in the East of England, starting in September 2022. The programme will combine some or all of these elements: work-based learning, distance learning, classroom learning (face-to-face or video), residential study days, network study days, private study and completion of assignments. It willrequire a very strong commitment to private study in your own time.

Entry requirements are 5 GCSEs or equivalent, at Grade C/ Level 4 or above, including Mathematics, English language, and 2 sciences (covering Biology and Chemistry). Please read the Job Description and Person Specification for the full list of entry requirements for this post.

The training post is based at our pharmacy in Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 3AG, working 37.5 hours per week (may include weekend, bank holiday, early and late working rotas, as required).

You must have a valid driving license for the UK, with access to a vehicle for work purposes, as the post involves visiting a range of hospital and other locations across Essex.
We are looking for a candidate who can start on the 01/02/2024 at the latest.

Rowlands Pharmacy are currently looking for an experienced NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services to work as a Pharmacy Dispenser in the Arundel Road branch.

You will participate in all branch processes and establish relationships with customers, patients as well as healthcare professionals. You will assist in the delivery of all pharmacy services where appropriate. You will be an ambassador for Rowlands Pharmacy serving the community and interacting with customers on a day to day basis.

What we need from you...
You will have a NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or accredited equivalent course along with a Medicine Counter Assistant (MCA) qualification.
