The Opportunity:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Health and Safety Assistant to provide maternity cover within the Biological Sciences safety team.

This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

The opportunity has arisen to join the Health and Safety team, to assist with the management of health and safety within the School, working as an integral part of the team to promote high safety standards, engaging with staff and students across the School and taking the lead role for management of radiation safety. This post offers a chance for someone who is interested in pursuing a Health and Safety career to explore this field and gain valuable experience in a wide range of areas.


Your skills and attributes for success:

-Qualification in a relevant scientific background with a good knowledge and experience of scientific and laboratory safety procedures.
-Working knowledge and experience in general safety procedures and completing risk assessments.
-Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
-A proven ability to assess problems and take appropriate action with the flexibility and resourcefulness to ensure effective outcomes.
-Enthusiasm and desire to develop in a health and safety career.

**Pharmacy Assistant - Royal Mile Pharmacy **

**Mon - 9am-6pm, Fri - 9am-6pm & Sat 9am-5pm (23.5 hours per week)**

**As a Pharmacy Assistant you will be the first point of contact within the Pharmacy for our patients and customers. We are looking for someone who is amazing with the public, ready to get stuck in and happy to learn on the job. **

As a Right Medicine Pharmacy Counter Assistant, youll work as part of the Pharmacy team along with Dispensers, Technicians and the Pharmacist to provide outstanding care for our patients and customers. The role will involve greeting patients and customers and providing any assistance they may require, promoting Pharmacy services along with advising on over the counter products, the receiving and distribution of prescriptions to patients under the guidance of the Pharmacist along with any other duties essential to the smooth operation of the Pharmacy.

**About You?**

We are ideally looking for someone who has Pharmacy experience however, this is not essential and applications are welcome from those looking to progress into a role within Pharmacy.

This role is one that will require a number of formal training programmes that require completion both in working hours, but also sometime outside of working hours.

You should have the ability to work in a busy, fast paced healthcare environment, be reliable, have excellent customer service skills along with a friendly personality that our patients can trust!
