The post-holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary Optometry and Ophthalmology teams that provide comprehensive and quality ophthalmology services for the Trust.

You will be based in the Eye Treatment Centre at Whipps Cross University Hospital. The Eye Treatment Centre is a dedicated unit covering all ophthalmology specialties including vitreo-retinal, medical retina, glaucoma, cornea, oculo-plastics, paediatrics, neuro-ophthalmology and we also have a busy eye emergency service.

We are seeking a Senior Team Leader to join our expanding Appointment Centre at Whipps Cross. You will be a point of contact for our patients and represent the Trust with your caring, helpful approach.

The Appointment Centre operates between 8.30 – 17.00 Monday – Friday



The post holder is responsible for supporting the Appointment Manager and Team Leaders with the day to day running of the service. The post holder will line manage approximately 3 W.T.E Team Leaders and a further 30 Appointment Coordinators across the department.

The senior supervisor will work as part of a team of managers to coordinate daily workloads across the Contact Centre and administration teams, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is achieved and maintained. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Patient Pathway Co-ordinator to join Women’s and Children’s Division at Whipps Cross University Hospital, part of Barts Health NHS Trust.
This is an opportunity to work as part of the Paediatric and Breast departments where the post holder will be expected to provide comprehensive pathway management skills, MDT co-ordinating support and administrative support to both services.

You will support our dedicated teams to effectively and efficiently manage patient pathways whilst engaging with our internal and external stakeholders.

The Senior Patient Pathway Co-ordinator will work across teams to gain experience in Paediatric medicine, Breast surgery, pathway validation, MDT co-ordinating, service management, innovative patient care and national NHS targets.

In return, we will develop your skills, knowledge and experience with formal and on-the-job training.



The purpose of the Patient Pathway Co-ordinator is to actively manage the administrative processes of patient pathways, including validating and the coordination of specialist MDT’s ensuring a smooth and efficient service for patients throughout their treatment by Women’s and Children’s Division, at Barts Health NHS Trust.

Pre-Packing Senior Pharmacy Technician: Band 5

An exciting opportunity has come up for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work as a Senior Pharmacy Technician at the Pre-Packing Unit (PSU) at Bart’s Health NHS Trust, Pharmacy Technical Services (PTS).

PTS is a licensed manufacturing unit with three sites, Royal London Hospital which is based at Whitechapel, St. Barts Hospital and Whipps Cross Hospital.

The post holder will be responsible for assisting with coordinating all operational activities within the pre packing area based at Whipps Cross Hospital and include assisting with Scheduling and Planning of Materials Managements, Inspection & Labelling, Assembly, Repacking and Materials Management. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all work is scheduled, and documentation is current and updated in a timely manner in line with MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) audits and internal reviews.

Applicants must hold a BTEC level 3 Diploma in Principles and practice for pharmacy technicians or equivalent and must have Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician
