As a Senior Staff Nurse at our Chichester Hospital, you're registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures. Ideally, you hold qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management.

Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital.

Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital is a 30 bedded hospital within walking distance of the city centre with free onsite car parking.  The hospital has two laminar flow operating theatres, a JAG accredited endoscopy unit and two minor treatment rooms in the outpatient department.  There is a small radiology department and CT/ MRI services are provided in a mobile unit.  Inpatient physiotherapy is provided within the hospital whilst our outpatients attend the fitness and wellbeing centre at Chichester gate for their follow up physio and hydrotherapy treatments. 

Our main speciality is orthopaedics. We also care for patients needing treatment within the specialties of gynaecology, urology, general surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology max fax, and pain. We provide outpatient services for dermatology, cardiology, neurology, and rheumatology.

The Senior Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPMHC) is under the Mental Health & Behavioral Sciences Service and works with and clinically supports Acute Care Mental Health, which includes an inpatient psychiatric unit, inpatient medicine, and the emergency department. In addition to providing direct patient care, the Senior LPMHC functions as the facility Baker Act Coordinator and has supportive administrative duties.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing a full range of mental health services to patients with complex mental, medical, and psychosocial problems in Acute Care Mental Health.
• Completing Suicide Risk Identification to include CSREs, Safety Plans, and consultation with the Suicide Prevention Team as needed.
• Providing evidence-based psychotherapy services including individual, family, couples, or group psychotherapy and behavioral modification for addressing behavioral and psychological symptoms. Has advanced skills in specialized interventions and treatment modalities for Veterans with complex needs.
• Educating patients, family members, and significant others.
• Functioning as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team by providing consultation and treatment recommendations to professional staff within the medical units, inpatient psychiatric unit, ED, and community providers, concerning clinical assessment findings and appropriate treatment plans for the patients in his/her care.
• Developing, implementing, and documenting the treatment plan for patients seen, including prompt completion of clinical reminders.
• Functioning independently as a member of the West Palm Beach VAMC Medical Staff, with full clinical privileges. The incumbent assumes complete professional responsibility for his/her clinical assessment findings, patient care decisions, and documentation.
• Appropriately referring patients to other disciplines for treatment outside purview and expertise of a LPMHC.
• Providing clinical supervision to LPMHC staff and/or LPMHC trainees.
• Developing behavioral health related training curriculum and conducting trainings for clinical staff as needed.
• Complying with all regulations of VHA and ensuring clinical documentation complies with service policies.
• Participating in ongoing performance improvement initiatives.

Experience of producing care plans and detailed risk assessments is important, as is an up-to-date knowledge on the most recent clinical practices. We’ll also look for an understanding of regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines. You’ll be a natural leader and problem solver who has worked with older people and acted as a clinical mentor, including supporting newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship. Dedicated, ambitious and resilient, you’ll have a strong track record of delivering improvements to achieve quality care.

About the opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Maintenance Technician (QT) to join our team in our Wakefield Distribution Centre as a Senior Maintenance Technician. This role involves responsibility for Planned Preventative Maintenance, system breakdowns, defect repair and general upkeep of the depot facilities and automation ensuring that system cleanliness and condition is kept to a high standard.

To assist and manage on site projects, technical repairs and technicians workloads ensuring correct. Ensuring all Maintenance of high volume picking machinery and other ancillary equipment is up to date and operational at all times. Immediate response to any breakdowns to the production equipment in accordance with the production hours. Engage and manage contractors including obtaining/providing permits to work, risk assessments and method statements.
