Job Description:
The Environmental Safety and Health Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company’s environmental health and safety programs. This role ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, and promotes a culture of safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe workplace.
- Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory bodies.
- Conduct safety training programs for employees to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine their causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Prepare and maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
- Lead emergency response activities and develop emergency preparedness plans.
- Oversee the safe disposal of hazardous materials and ensure environmental protection measures are in place.
- Stay updated with new legislation and best practices in environmental health and safety, and continuously improve safety programs.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Certified Safety Professional.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental health and safety management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and training abilities, and proficiency in safety management software
