An exciting opportunity for a motivated and focused Assistant General Manager to join the Specialist Medicine Directorate within the Medicine and Emergency Care (MEC) Division at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.

As Assistant General Manager within the Directorate, you will provide operational and strategic support to the MEC division. You will work closely with the Deputy General Manager, existing Assistant General Managers and General Manager to achieve activity targets against national requirements as well as supporting the delivery of new challenges.

We are really excited to be able to offer an experienced, independent, innovative individual with the skills, enthusiasm and vision the opportunity to become the Head of Allied Health Professions (AHP) for the Forensic and Specialist Directorate at Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust.

The Head of Allied Health Professions is a key member of the directorate Senior Management Team and will work closely with the other heads of profession, operational managers and business partners within the team to ensure that the directorate continues to provide the best possible care to the patients that it serves. Cancer Services are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Oncology Team. This is a new role to the Directorate and the successful candidate will play an integral role in driving improvements in patient care.

You will play a crucial role in providing support to the Management Team within Oncology. They will be involved with managing teams and leading on projects and work streams within the Directorate. Oncology deliver services across Kent and the post-holder will be integral to ensuring patients receive their treatment in their right place and at the right time.

You will be responsible for the day to day operational management of the service, contributing to the PTL management and supporting/management of administrative services including the provision of support for future planning i.e structure, absence cover and assessment needs for staff training and skills mix. Oncology are looking for an individual who can work collaboratively with other services, and with multi-disciplinary teams, to ensure that the strategic service meets and achieves national performance indicators e.g. 28 day diagnosis, 62-day first treatment, and all quality, activity and financial targets and indicators.

The role is challenging so you must be hard-working, adaptable and have the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will need good listening and communication skills and be able to deal with people both internally and externally in a sensitive and professional manner. The Trust’s core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs. We work from two main clinical sites: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients – the first of its kind in the country.

We employ more than 7,000 full and part-time staff in a huge range of clinical and non-clinical roles across both of our hospital sites.

The role of Business Development Manager will be an integral addition to the Business Development Team, mapping out all acute mental health services nationwide to develop admissions for The Langford Centre.

Bramley Health is a specialist health and social care provider. We support men and women of working age who pose variations of mental health challenges within our homes, to maximise their independence to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.

We have a total of 8 homes and 1 hospital that are operational located around the Southeast of England, with more being renovated to open in due course.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Business Development Manager will work to improve Bramley Health's market position and foster initiatives that help achieve financial growth. They will manage business development activities by driving sales activities and the acquisition of new admissions, referrals, clients, and new business, mapping out all acute mental health services nationwide to develop admissions for The Langford Centre specifically.

RESPONSIBILITIES

o Building relationships with Integrated Care Boards, mental health trusts, local authorities, and continuing healthcare teams nationwide
o Support the BD Executive and Referrals Coordinator to drive referrals for customers through to admission in a timely manner whilst maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
o Research projects in segmented areas where we have the least traction to maximise our exposure and to seek new business contacts


KEY SKILLS

o Strong experience within a business development role
o Experience within a similar healthcare organisation or the NHS
o Target focused and sales driven
o Good communication and organisation skills
o Results driven, pro-active approach to own workload
o Understanding of a CRM database
o Time management and prioritisation skills
o Customer service focused
